Content&form: Sales tool developed for Six

For the sales team at the transaction processor Six, Inhalt&Form, in collaboration with its technology partner Ufirst, developed a solution to support sales conversations.

This solution is called Chartmaker and is a comprehensive web-based sales tool on which hundreds of sales documents, such as flyers, brochures and presentations, which were previously always printed, have been digitized. For ten countries, in five languages. All content was revised by Inhalt&Form, simplified, condensed and reprocessed in a clear visual implementation using a wide range of digital options.

From over 130 slides with graphics, animations, 3D objects and films, the salesperson puts together the presentation in just a few clicks. Anytime and anywhere. This enables the salesperson from Six to give a customized "state of the art" presentation to the customer and lightens his portfolio by a stack of printed documents.

Senior Project Manager Philipp Lehmann: "In addition to the obvious advantages of digital communication, Chartmaker provides Six, as an internationally positioned company, with answers to tricky questions about content management. The clever conception of Ufirst not only allows the use in sales talks, but also on the website or directly at the trade fair booth. For Six, these are central aspects of the project. Thanks to the strong visual implementation by Inhalt&Form, our 120 salespeople were quickly convinced by the contemporary communication."

Head Growth Markets Mark Fitzgerald: "Chartmaker is so easy to use, it is so easy to put slides together. And it is just as easy for our teams in the various countries to do the same thing. Moreover it is tremendously important to be able to present it in this modern way from the tablet to transmit the technical skills and capacity that Six has."

Werbestadt: Branding for new personnel service provider

The Winterthur-based agency Werbestadt was commissioned to create a complete brand identity for a new staffing agency, ranging from the name and design to business stationery, the website, and job posting templates.

The starting requirement was to develop a name and a claim that would make the company's offering clear at a glance and also communicate its claim to class and high quality, according to a statement. "Teamgold" is intended to indicate that ambitious teams are being strengthened, and the addition of "Consulting - Search - Selection" defines the range of services. In the logo, the name and claim are complemented by a medal.

Sporty design

What is already implied in the name "Teamgold" is made unmistakably clear by the visual language on the factsheet, documents and website: The senior HR consultant is an enthusiastic sportsman (paraglider pilot) and draws a lot of inspiration, energy and basic attitude from his sporting activities: "I demand precision landings from myself."

User oriented website

The plain Web presence in Responsive Design welcomes the user with a question about the need and offers two options: "I am looking for qualified personnel" and "I am ready for a new job. Depending on the choice, current job offers open as PDFs or the range of services for entrepreneurs and HR managers. The job advertisements, which correspond via CRM with all major job platforms, were also written and designed by Werbestadt AG.

Last but not least: Pregnancy on 40 pages

It's no longer brand new, but it's timelessly beautiful: the mother book from the Japanese agency Dentsu Nagoya.

The "Mother Book" was presented to the global public back in January 2014, later won a Health Lion in Cannes and caused quite a stir. Strangely enough, not here. But better late than never. It is a campaign by the Kishokai Medical Corporation for its Bell-Net Obstetrics centers. The book has 40 pages - one for each week of pregnancy. The left-hand page offers space for handwritten thoughts and notes from the expectant mother in the respective week. The right-hand page not only shows artistically designed information on the development of the growing baby, but above all a belly. This gets bigger week by week. And at the end of the book there is a gift for both mother and child: the child for the mother and the book for the child. When the child is a little older and can read. But we all know that paper is patient. (hae)

Contexta: The Confederation raises questions

Contexta has created new ad concepts for the Bern-based daily newspaper *Der Bund*. In the campaign, which has been running since 2010, the agency positions the long-established publication as a newspaper for discerning readers.

If you want to keep track of current affairs and take a close look at controversial topics, you should read the Bund. The Bernese daily newspaper with depth attaches great importance to quality journalism. The campaign with the characteristic reading glasses is now being extended for the second time. The five new subjects address topical issues from the economy, society, politics and the region. They can be seen as posters, advertisements, streetcar hangers and online advertising media.

Time Out launches Swiss edition

To date, the Time Out city guide has reached 33 million users in 67 cities and 37 countries. A Swiss online platform in English is now being launched for locals and travelers—a German version is in the works.

Founded in London in 1968, the title is now present in cities such as New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Moscow, Singapore, Amsterdam and Dubai. More than one million events and venues are listed on the international platform. The idea of the creators is to offer an exciting mix of local and global leisure tips.

Among the authors of Time Out Switzerland include Katharina Blansjaar (former head of the lifestyle section of NZZ am Sonntag and book author), Caroline Bishop (wrote for the Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, National Geographic Traveller) and Peter Carty (wrote for GQ, Esquire, The Independent, The Financial Times and was travel editor at Time Out London for four years).

"Inspiration, information, entertainment and credibility - these are the keywords for which Time Out stands. The platform also has a responsive design and is ideal for use via smartphone or tablet PC," explains Celeste Neill, who is responsible for the Swiss market launch with the agency she runs, Ripley & Jones. The trained journalist most recently worked as content manager for Switzerland and Zurich Tourism, among others. Tim Arthur, Global CEO of the Time Out Group, also sees the Swiss market entry as important: "I am very excited about the launch of Time Out Switzerland on the global Time Out platform. This is a significant step for our company as we continue to expand in both the U.S. and Europe."

Time Out Switzerland will focus on the cities of Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lausanne, Lugano and Zurich, as well as on the most important winter sports resorts. Existing advertising partners include Switzerland Tourism, Davos Klosters and the perfumery chain Marionnaud, for which Time Out developed the "City Tip" in its customer magazine.

Franz & René makes room for souvenirs

With the launch of Franz & René's new campaign, winter has finally arrived in the canton of Vaud.

The canton of Vaud offers a wealth of winter activities. From the Jura to the Vaud Alps as well as in the Pays d'Enhaut, winter is the most important season and therefore the offers are varied. Following an agency pitch, Vaud - Lake Geneva Region decided to place its trust in the Franz & René agency for its winter campaign concept: Make way for beautiful souvenirs! The concept unites all winter destinations under the common umbrella of Vaud - Région du Léman. The concept emphasizes the tangible experiences that can be had in the canton of Vaud and the unforgettable memories of them. The souvenir is the central theme of the entire campaign. Its emotional character is intended to highlight the individual advantages of each destination.

The design shows various souvenirs that can be taken home from the vacations in a personal setting. A slightly different campaign, which for once does not show the usual ski slopes, but gives the message a more personal touch. The campaign is structured with posters and banners that are distributed nationally. The website Myvaud.ch also summarizes all winter offers.

Three-pole takes off

On Friday, Zurich-based interaction design agency Dreipol had two reasons to celebrate: "Dreipol into Space" was a toast to its four-year anniversary and its new location on Langstrasse.

Over 150 invited guests were part of a new chapter as passengers of the spaceship. "After four years, we have already grown to a team of 14 and have been able to further optimize our design and development processes," said Nino Cometti, Managing Director of Dreipol "An excellent team enables us to handle even complex projects in a lean and goal-oriented way. We are now 'ready for take-off'."

01-Boarding
The three-pole astronaut ensured safe boarding.

02-Apollo
Radio transmissions from Apollo 13 could be heard at the entrance area.

03-Into-Space
04-Oculus-Rift
The project presentations also included an Oculus Rift version of the three-pole game "Shoggoth Rising" to test.

05-Leap-Motion
A Leap Motion installation allowed guests to transport their own planets into a digital solar system.

Dreipol was founded in 2010 by four ZHdK alumni and is one of the first interaction design agencies in Switzerland. For four years Dreipol has been conceptualizing, designing and programming web and mobile apps and offers interaction design consulting.

Advertising market stagnates in October

Media Focus shows: At CHF 485.5 million, the advertising market in Switzerland was little changed in October from the same month last year (+0.1 percent). At just under CHF 4 billion, the cumulative increase was 1.2 percent.

The advertising month of October was one of stagnant continuity. Just 0.1 percent year-on-year growth was recorded, corresponding to 648 thousand gross advertising francs in absolute terms. The complete advertising year comes to a standstill with the 485.5 million advertising francs to a cumulative total of just under 4 billion, thus showing a slight increase of 1.2 percent in a year-on-year comparison. The identical value was achieved in the September can be ascertained. This is shown by the Media Focus Advertising Market Trend Report 2014/10.

Couriers and postal services: Bern steps on the gas!

With a large-scale image campaign, the industry giant from the German capital achieved a more than 200 percent increase in advertising presence in the full year (+7.2 million gross advertising francs). This is a "relative" record among all advertisers in the current advertising year. The beneficiaries of this campaign appear to be the billboard marketers and the publishers of the daily and Sunday press and the regional weekly press, all of which improved their share in the media mix by more than 10 percent. These shifts within the media groups indicate a discernible change in Swiss Post's strategy in advertising communication.

Commercial without high life expectancy

Cleaners and detergents, or their many "line extensions," are advertised for an average of only 2.5 years. The age ranking is headed by "old acquaintances" such as Lenor, Persil and Vanish Oxi Action, which are still present in ten out of eleven advertising years. In terms of product diversity, the market experienced its heyday in 2009 and 2010, when no fewer than 150 different products were advertised. That time is over. This figure has fallen by a full 50 products in the last four years. The advertising budgets, however, have remained constant for years at 35 to 37 million advertising francs in the period from January to October.

Insurance market: up 10 percent versus October 2013

Visana is closely followed by Zurich, CSS and Helsana, establishing itself at the top of the list of advertising insurers. Just like the number 5 in the ranking, ÖKK, the insurer from Bern has increased its measurable gross advertising francs by seven figures compared to October 2013! Whether this will be only a temporal advance of the available advertising budget into October at ÖKK (No. 15 in the previous year) or a real increase in advertising pressure will be seen in November. However, the start in the race for the insured seems to have been successful. The insurance market as a whole is up a cumulative 6.3 percent, or five million advertising francs, over 2013. This is the third year in a row that we have seen this increase.

Alpha 245: Posters that make life easier

For several years, Sympany Insurance has been advertising with the claim "Life should become easier again". The Alpha 245 agency was commissioned to continue the successful campaign this year.

On a specially set up Website 100 tips have been compiled, all of which make life easier. This site is now being advertised on megaposters at train stations and other prominent locations. And with tips that make life easier directly at the poster site. At the station, how to pack clothes in your suitcase without creasing them. Above a scoreboard, how to read it easily without glasses. On building sites, how to prevent drilling dust. Or on a graffiti-covered wall, how to remove spray paint from your fingers. The hand-picked poster sites, combined with the appropriate tips, are worth the extra effort. After all, the message with a direct link to the environment pays direct tribute to Sympany's claim: Life should become easier again.

Heads creates CI for NFS Digital Fabrication

The National Center of Competence in Research (NCCR) Digital Fabrication has commissioned Heads Corporate Branding to develop a visual identity. The result is a design that conveys the interconnection of technologies in a unique way.

Interdisciplinarity is a central feature of innovative research at the interface of architecture and civil engineering. National Centres of Competence in Research are funding instruments of the federal government. The NCCR Digital Fabrication is the first ever awarded by Switzerland in the field of architecture and civil engineering. It is based at ETH Zurich and is co-sponsored by researchers from EPF Lausanne, Bern University of Applied Sciences and EMPA. The goal is to combine various digital technologies with the physical building process. This should enable previously unimagined architectures, increase efficiency in production and improve the sustainability of buildings. To this end, the most talented scientists in the fields of architecture, structural design, materials and computer sciences, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and robotics are cooperating. With this initiative, Switzerland is taking a global leadership role in the development of digital fabrication - in an area that is developing rapidly and is of global interest.
