Cofely strengthens its web presence with content from C-Factor

Cofely Switzerland, a specialist in building services, has updated its website to reflect its new corporate design and thoroughly revised its content. C-Factor provided the text and image concept for this project and wrote a large portion of the new website content.

The provider of energy-efficient solutions for the construction, operation and maintenance of technical building systems is committed to its own Website high standards. The company is part of Engie (formerly GDF SUEZ), one of the world's largest energy producers and service providers. In terms of design, Cofely Switzerland therefore had to adhere entirely to its specifications when relaunching its website. In terms of content, however, the company emphasized its individual strengths in relation to the needs of the Swiss market.

Directly addressed, quickly to the point

Cofely was supported in this by C-Factor. As a first step, the Zurich-based agency developed a text and image concept that expresses Cofely's expertise and consulting strength at first glance. Visitors to the new website are addressed directly, quickly recognize the advantages of a partnership with Cofely and can easily contact the company's experts at any time. In addition, the web texts are consistently geared towards mobile use of the website.

Employer presence optimized

Based on this text concept, C-Factor wrote most of the texts for the new Cofely website. In addition to content about the company and its range of products and services, content was also created to position Cofely even better as an employer. Based on this, C-Factor also optimized the structure and texts of Cofely's job advertisements. "We used the relaunch of our website to take a big step forward in describing our services and strengths," says Philip Wernli, Head of Communications at Cofely Switzerland. "C-Factor made an important contribution to this conceptually and with professional web texts."

Rod sets the scene for Gotthard Base Tunnel

The countdown to the opening celebrations for the new Gotthard Base Tunnel begins on Monday. Rod Kommunikation is showcasing the world's longest railroad tunnel with a campaign.

On Monday, Federal Councillor Doris Leuthard, together with SBB CEO Andreas Meyer and Renzo Simoni, CEO of Alptransit, as well as representatives of the cantons of Uri and Ticino, presented the start of the countdown to the opening celebrations for the new Gotthard Base Tunnel. At 57 kilometers, the world's longest railroad tunnel will be celebrated with a large public event at the beginning of June 2016 and will be put into operation by SBB as scheduled from December 2016.

In order to effectively celebrate the anticipation of this milestone in Swiss transport policy, the countdown year will also be accompanied by various forms of communication. The centerpiece is the "Through and across Switzerland" campaign, which was designed and implemented by the Zurich-based Rod agency on behalf of the Federal Office of Transport, SBB and Alptransit AG. In the first phase of the campaign, the focus is on the extraordinary structure, which can only be opened after 17 years of construction thanks to a forward-looking pioneering spirit and unwavering energy.

"Through and through Switzerland" is the motto of the campaign, which focuses on attributes that have made it possible to overcome this enormous challenge and are commonly attributed as typical characteristics of Switzerland. The tone of the campaign is also Swiss - "Switzerland is going its own way. And connects the whole of Europe" is one headline, not without a wink. Another subject shows former Federal Councillors Moritz Leuenberger and Adolf Ogi in a hearty embrace after the breakthrough. "In Switzerland, people are politely distant. Unless you meet in the middle of a mountain," reads the headline.

The Edelweiss Zeppelin - An idea takes off

The Edelweiss Zeppelin is currently circling over Zurich. The biggest zeppelin tour Switzerland has ever seen has got off to a successful start and will soon be moving on to Basel. A look behind the scenes - at Process.

Process designed, planned and implemented the measures surrounding the 20th anniversary of the Swiss vacation airline together with the Edelweiss team. A short making-of film provides insights into the development process. The starting point for the conception of the Zeppelin tour was the communicative guiding idea of Edelweiss "Let go and take off". The entire campaign has already received a great response in the press and social media and is accompanied by various competitions.

"The tour with the Edelweiss Zeppelin is extremely demanding in terms of planning and logistics. We are pleased that everything has gone smoothly so far and are overwhelmed by the positive reactions among our target audience," says Corinne Römer, Marketing Manager and Project Manager at Edelweiss Air.

Throughout the summer, the Edelweiss Zeppelin will be king in the Swiss skies, flying after Zurich also from Basel/Münchenstein, Interlaken BE, Sitterdorf TG, Grenchen SO and Birrfeld AG. A Zeppelin tour of this size has never been seen before in Swiss aviation history.

Google simplifies privacy settings

Internet giant Google has made the data protection settings for its services clearer and simpler. Users can now restrict what information Google collects and analyzes about them from a central point of contact.

Among other things, you can prevent the company from saving which terms you type into Google search or which videos you watch on YouTube. Google evaluates this information in order to display personalized advertising to users. The new options apply to all users, regardless of whether they have a Google account or not. For users without a Google account, the settings are collected on the MyAccount.Google.com website under the "Tools available now" link. If you have a Google account, for example with the email service Gmail or the video platform YouTube, you can access the overview page via the account settings. There you can restrict the information that Google stores about your surfing and search activities. Data protectionists have repeatedly criticized Google for combining information about its users into profiles. Advertising via Google on other websites can also be restricted: Users can specify that no information about their interests or age is used for this purpose. Users can also switch off the analysis of their location, which could be particularly interesting for owners of smartphones with Google's Android operating system. However, this data collection is not switched on from the outset: Android users have to agree to it when setting up their smartphone. (SDA)

TBS: Annual magazine 365° from Ernst Basler + Partner

The annual magazine 365°, produced by TBS & Partner, provides insights into the areas of expertise of the internationally active engineering, planning, and consulting firm Ernst Basler + Partner.

The 2015/2016 edition of 365°, entitled "It pays off." explores the question of how technological developments are shaping our lives and work. The annual issue presents projects that demonstrate the multi-faceted impact of technological innovations on our society. One of them examines how authorities and electricity suppliers are prepared for the increasing demand for electric cars. After all, the need for charging stations will increase significantly, especially in the Basel area. And how can comfort, energy and cost efficiency be reconciled in building technology planning? The new Swisscom Businesspark building in Ittingen achieves this balancing act with flying colors. The magazine also answers the question of why there is less congestion on Austrian roads. Discussions with experts and an interview with the company management round off the magazine's range of topics. Thanks to the varied mix of articles, interviews and project reports, the result is a reader-friendly annual magazine.

Spinas: Successful petition of the Climate Alliance

Doris Leuthard's 'Inner Voice" campaign has collected 107,765 signatures—with support from the Spinas Civil Voices agency.

Environment Minister Doris Leuthard has two souls in her chest. On the one hand, she immediately initiated the nuclear phase-out after Fukushima and fought courageously for the energy transition in the National Council. On the other hand, she is extremely hesitant about Switzerland's climate protection goals. That is why the Climate Alliance, made up of more than 60 Swiss NGOs, launched a signature collection of a special kind.

Unbenannt-1_64

Since December of last year, St. Doris, the inner voice of Doris Leuthard, has been soliciting support on Facebook, Twitter and via e-mail under the motto: Please help me turn the environment minister into a climate protection patron. Because a big decision is coming up in 2015. At the end of the year, a new climate agreement must be reached at the climate conference in Paris. 107,765 people have responded to their regular calls and signed the petition for a fair climate policy for Switzerland. The handover took place on May 28 in Bern.

Now that so many supporters have taken on the role of climate conscience, St. Doris is withdrawing from the public eye and closing her social media profiles. Of course, not without thanking Doris Leuthard in an open letter for the great support and talking to her conscience one last time (see below).

Due to great popularity: new edition of the Hiltl hare's tooth campaign

Because the 2010 Hasenzahn campaign created by Ruf Lanz was well-received not only by the judges but, above all, by the public, it is now being relaunched.

According to Guinness World Records, Hiltl is the first vegetarian restaurant in the world (since 1898). Because meat eaters have also long enjoyed vegetarian food at Hiltl, Ruf Lanz showed well-known carnivores such as lions, tigers, wolves and pumas with buck teeth in an award-winning campaign in 2010. According to the motto: Everyone likes to eat vegetarian here. Owner Rolf Hiltl comments: "The campaign was extremely popular with our guests, and even today they still ask for the postcards from back then. That's why we decided to do a new edition." A total of seven new subjects will be used over the next few weeks on postcards, advertisements, and posters, as well as online.

Last but not least: Social Potholes

The fight against potholes continues. This time, P4 Ogilvy is turning these unwelcome road hazards into Twitter stars.

Recently, at this point reports on an artist who, in protest against unrepaired potholes in England, spray-painted penises around the "cyclist traps," thereby miraculously prompting the authorities to take action.

As mentioned earlier, road damage is a serious problem in just about every country outside of Switzerland—one that bothers, annoys, and endangers the public day in and day out. That’s because in many places, nothing is being done about it. The result is damaged cars, frustrated drivers, and cyclists taking falls.

tw_0
IMG_1224-460x259

The same is true in Panama. In this Central American country, the television station Tele Metro has taken on the issue—knowing exactly what’s bothering viewers. They came up with a pretty clever solution devised by the agency P4 Ogilvy & Mather Panama City. Potholes on the main thoroughfares were equipped with sensors. Every time a car drives right through a sensor-equipped pothole, the device sends a Tweet, addressed to the responsible department. Nearly 1,000 tweets have already been sent, and the strategy—backed by the public and the media—seems to be paying off. Little by little, the gaps are disappearing. It just goes to show once again: If you don’t have a Twitter account these days, you’re hardly noticed. (hae)

Valenica: Setting the scene for the champions for Adidas

A Master Class for Valencia. When FCB heroes like Fabian Frei, Matias Delgado, and Davide Callà pose for Adidas in front of the camera, the balls fly toward the photographer and the players’ hearts soar.

Instead of hot scenes in the opponent's penalty area, the FC Basel stars caused a stir in the photo studio. And not just through their presence. After all, FC Basel 1893 presented the new Adidas home shirt for the 2015/2016 season.

VAL_FCB_RGB_01

A group photo of Frei, Delgado and Calla in the new home jersey was shot especially for a Big Poster. These were mounted on the outside of the stadium and at the fan store on the last matchday of the season, while FCB ran in on the pitch in the new kit and new shoes. Pictures were therefore also taken especially for social media use, showing the players with the new X and Ace soccer shoes.

VAL_FCB_RGB_02

The photo shoot was organized by Valencia. "The players did a great job," said Nadine Gschwend, Junior Art Director and responsible for the shoot, "and you can see that in the pictures." The style of the pictures, by the way, is in line with the specifications Adidas sets for all clubs worldwide that are equipped by the sports brand. The timing of this project was also sporty: the images had to be selected, edited and prepared for printing practically overnight. The fans were not to see the new jersey and shoes for the first time until the last game of the current season.

VAL_FCB_RGB_03

A total of seven players from the Swiss champions joined hands in Tobias R. Dürring's photo studio. In addition to those mentioned above, Philipp Degen, Walter Samuel, Fabian Schär and Adama Traoré were also in attendance.
