The idea: the experience of young professionals meets the diversity and ingenuity of the YouTube community. Both sides are now invited to submit their contributions by May 24, 2010 on the "Creative Heads" YouTube channel at
www.youtube.com/creativeheads to be submitted.
Hermann Vaske's aim is for the participants to inspire each other and bring together innovative possibilities for digital creativity. In addition to the Art Directors Club (ADC) and the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, creatives such as director Wim Wenders, photographer Oliviero Toscani, actress Jana Pallaske, DDB CCO Amir Kassaei, Poke founder Simon Waterfall and artists Fritz Haeg and Jonathan Meese are supporting the project, which runs under the motto "What does creativity mean to you?".
We are looking for concise submissions and contributions that deal with the facets of digital creativity from an artistic, technical, intellectual or scientific perspective in the form of videos lasting a maximum of 10 minutes.
The jury includes Amir Kassaei, Chief Creative Officer at DDB, Lars Bastholm, Chief Digital Officer Ogilvy North America and jury president of the Cannes Cyber Lions 2009, as well as Simon Waterfall, founder of Poke and former president of D&AD, the British equivalent of the German ADC.
The shortlist of the 25 best international submissions will be published on May 28, 2010. The shortlisted candidates will have to submit their entries to the judgment of YouTube users and the interested professional public. They can comment on and discuss the nominated submissions on the "Creative Heads" channel until June 9, 2010 and vote for their favorites using the voting button.
The submission with the greatest response wins. Hermann Vaske will produce a film from the best entries in the competition, which he will present at Cannes Lions and as part of the "Night of the Lions" in Germany.
