Personnel changes at Radio 1
Host Sharon Zucker will be leaving the network after six years. She plans to spend the coming months traveling and focusing more on her acting career again.
Their management function will be taken over by Marc Jäggi, who will return to Radio 1 as of April 1. Jäggi was Head of Moderation at Radio 1 from the start of broadcasting and then for six years. In addition, he will in future co-host the morning show with Dani Wüthrich and be Chief Innovation Officer CIO as a member of the Executive Board.
Lisa Känzig, a former longtime host, is also returning to Radio 1. Starting in April, she will take over the midday shift previously handled by Sharon Zucker.
Owner and CEO Roger Schawinski said in a statement on Monday: "I thank Sharon for her great commitment over so many years and wish her the best of luck for the future. I am particularly pleased that two outstanding former employees are returning to Radio 1. Marc Jäggi and Lisa Känzig, with their professionalism and enthusiasm for radio, guarantee that Radio 1 can further strengthen and sharpen its offering."
