CA-Media: ZSC pre-game show online

Pre-game shows have long been the norm in the NHL and are now making their way into Swiss hockey arenas as well. CA-Media has produced a spectacular show for the ZSC Lions and is now streaming it online for the first time.

The 6 minute and 50 second show is projected onto the ice using six high-performance projectors and can now be seen online for the first time.

The Regensdorf agency CA-Media has been producing the "ZSC Lions TV", which is much loved by fans, for several years now. At the start of the 15/16 field hockey season, Flavio Camenzind and his team also won the pitch for the Lions' new pre-game show. Since then, the spectacular show has been heating up the crowd before every game and is already an indispensable part of the fan culture. Six high-performance projectors are used to project the show onto the ice.

In the first shot, the ice collapses. Then the sponsors' logos appear as a gigantic machine on the surface. They are the driving force behind the Lions and ensure that the team can go into the game with full power. To the song "Sky full of stars" by Coldplay, all of the ZSC Lions' champion teams are then shown. This is followed by spectacular moves by the Lions from previous games. CA-Media even had its own dance track composed for the team line-up, which is also projected directly onto the ice. The highlight of the show is undoubtedly the ZSC lion, which suddenly bursts out of the ice and grabs the logo of the opposing team. The show ends with the fans' legendary credo "Mir sind Züri" and can now be seen online in full for the first time.

Update on the playoffs

The pre-game show was extended again just in time for the playoffs. Coach Marc Crawford fires up the fans and immediately creates a great atmosphere (video on Youtube). There will also be unique insights into the ZSC Lions' dressing room. So it's definitely worth getting to the arena in good time. The intro is projected onto the ice around 10-15 minutes before the start of each game.

Y&R: When the bear poops, winter is over

Bears are the only animals that don’t need to defecate during hibernation. The first «bear poop» is therefore a clear sign that winter is over. Y&R has created a campaign centered on this biological peculiarity.

Evi the bear has been resting in her bear pen in Goldau since November. On Baereschiss.ch you can now submit a guess as to when she will finally come back outside and officially declare winter over with her first big business. All those who guess will receive a discounted entry to the zoo as a thank you. Attractive prizes will also be raffled off. Afterwards, the weight of Evi's pile will be determined at the big bear-shit weighing event. The highlight: the weight of the bear's poo determines the percentages you get at the subsequent winter sale at the Helly Hansen Workwear Center. Admission to the festive weighing event is free. The exact date will be announced as soon as Evi has relieved herself.

Republica: Role reversal for Bea and Lea

BEA is now entering its fourth year with its two mascots—Bea, the girl, and Lea, the cow. This year, the two are switching roles: Bea is dressing up as a cow, and Lea as a blonde country girl.

With the role reversal under this year's motto "Original and Original", those responsible at Republica want to convey two things: On the one hand, BEA is and remains a proven and safe value in terms of tradition, fun and shopping. On the other hand, the spring fair offers its loyal audience original attractions every year, such as the Swisscom gigawave, and new highlights.

And something else is completely new this year, namely Bea. The girl who embodies the bright advertising character was tracked down with a casting and at the BEA booth at the Suisse Toy fair. She was one of ten candidates who made it to the final round and were invited to a test shooting. The new Bea not only convinced the jury (consisting of representatives of Bernexpo Groupe, Republica as well as the photographer), but she was also best received on Facebook. The BEA will take place from April 29 to May 8, 2016.

NZZ Media Group with more profit despite lower sales

Last year, the NZZ Media Group generated more revenue from its reader market and business media, thereby offsetting declines in the advertising market. As a result, it posted a profit of 22.2 million Swiss francs.

Sales fell due to the partial withdrawal from the printing business. The Group generated sales of CHF 158.4 million with media consumers, one percent more than in the previous year, as announced on Thursday. The growing number of subscribers and revenues from new products, such as NZZ Geschichte and FM1Today, were responsible for this development. Advertising revenue declined by 2 percent. However, due to the integration of advertising marketing into the NZZ media group, the figures are only comparable with the previous year to a limited extent. Other income increased by 6 percent. Printing revenues declined significantly. Due to the sale of the Appenzell printing plant and the closure of the Schlieren printing center, it fell by 26 percent to CHF 43.8 million. Overall, the Zurich-based media company generated sales of 456.4 million francs with its four divisions. In the previous year, the figure was 471.1 million francs.

Cost reduction through printer closure

However, the partial withdrawal from the printing business not only led to lower sales, but also to lower costs. Operating expenses fell by CHF 16.3 million compared to the previous year to CHF 434.8 million. Despite investments in publishing, the operating result before interest and taxes therefore improved by 8 percent to CHF 21.6 million. The financial year shows that the strategic focus on publishing is beginning to take effect. "We are maintaining this course. In the coming year, we will improve our profitability, particularly in the NZZ Media division", Group CEO Veit Dengler is quoted as saying in the press release.

New digital products planned

The Group intends to continue to counter the declining print advertising market with growth in the reader market and the expansion of the Business Media division. This year, sales in this area increased by CHF 9.1 million to CHF 40.8 million. This increase is mainly due to the conference business and the integration of the design and architecture portal Architonic. Despite higher costs, profit improved by CHF 0.8 million to CHF 8.4 million. NZZ Medien and the Group's regional media want to continue to grow with new and improved digital offerings. (SDA)

Denner will be presenting the most popular and best-rated wines in Switzerland from the end of February. The winning wines in various categories will be unveiled in a nationwide campaign - in TV commercials, on posters and at the POS.

Online advertising cracks billion mark in 2015

Online advertising continues to gain ground in Switzerland. The total volume of online advertising reached just over one billion francs for the first time in 2015.

In the previous year, the figure was around 850 million Swiss francs. However, the figures published on Thursday evening by the market research institute Media Focus are estimates. According to these, advertising has increased, especially in search engines. Online advertising has been on the rise for years. Growth forecasts from earlier years have even been exceeded. For the period 2007 to 2015, they were originally 14.1 percent. According to the latest figures, however, the increase reached 19.3 percent. The financial sector in particular contributed to the growth. The industry spent CHF 42.6 million on online advertising, 15.5 million more than the previous year. Vehicle advertising and telecom providers also increasingly wooed customers online. (SDA)
