Exxtra: Realized for Audi ad series in NZZ am Sonntag

To mark the launch of the new Audi A6 with its aluminum-hybrid construction, Exxtra Kommunikation created a unique ad for each section of the NZZ am Sonntag. In line with the newspaper’s various thematic areas, each ad highlighted a key feature of the new Audi A6.

For example, the reader of the business section learns all about the efficiency aspects of the sedan, as the agency writes in a statement. If they turn to the sports section, the ad informs them about the sportiness of the Audi A6. The eight-part series of ads appears in the NZZ am Sonntag of April 10, 2011.

Ringier: Interest in Tele Züri and 3+?

Ringier plans to enter the market with its own television station. The company has long had this ambition, but this year it will be «pursued with determination,» as Ringier CEO Marc Walder announced Wednesday in Zurich.

Unfortunately, the Swiss television market is very regulated, which makes it difficult to enter with a new station, Walder said at a media conference, according to the SDA news agency. A takeover is therefore more likely, he said. He already has two stations "on the radar," Walder added. Theoretically, the channels 3+ and Tele Züri would come into question. The Ringier boss did not want to give any further details on this subject. Tele Züri belongs to the Zurich media company Tamedia and has not been able to shine with good results in recent years.

A liaison between Ringier and Tele Züri would at least be a kind of revival: Ringier, Roger Schawinski and Tamedia each held a 33 percent stake in the station until May 1999, when publisher Michael Ringier even sat on the Tele Züri board of directors. Due to disputes between Tamedia and Schawinski, the further development of the Zurich local station was blocked, which is why Ringier left.

TV daily is no longer enclosed with daily newspapers

The weekly TV guide *TV täglich* will no longer be included with the daily newspapers *Tages-Anzeiger*, *Berner Zeitung*, *Der Bund*, *Berner Oberländer*, and *Thuner Tagblatt*.

Tamedia Publishing announced this on Wednesday. According to Tamedia, the decision to discontinue free delivery was made due to declining usage of this TV magazine. The growth of digital information sources, such as the Internet and TV guides, contributed to this trend. However, many readers of daily newspapers had previously received 'TV täglich” more than once, often along with other magazines such as “Schweizer Illustrierte,” “Schweizer Familie,” “Glückspost,” “Leben&Glauben,” and “Sonntag.” The TV supplement will continue to be included with these publications. According to Tamedia, the circulation of “TV täglich” now stands at around 650,000 copies per week. (SDA)
