Euro RSCG Zurich: Winterthur is the best Zurich has to offer

The agency Euro RSCG Zurich has realized a campaign for the city of Winterthur. Prominent Winterthur residents such as Victor Giaccobo and Bruno Gehrig are involved.

It is the sixth largest city in Switzerland, attracts visitors with over 1,000 cultural and leisure activities every year, has fantastic educational opportunities, is close to the airport and can claim that its residents are the happiest in the country. No wonder that the city of Winterthur does not have to shy away from comparison with its big sister Zurich in its advertising campaign. Euro RSCG Zurich thought so too and convinced the pitch with a tongue-in-cheek idea: Winterthur is simply the best that Zurich has to offer.

With the involvement of prominent Winterthur residents such as Victor Giaccobo and Bruno Gehrig, several poster motifs were created, two of which can now be seen in German-speaking Switzerland. In addition, electronic advertising boards as well as smaller measures such as carrier bags and vehicle lettering are being used - always with the aim of getting the Swiss people excited about their next visit to Winterthur.

In addition, the campaign launch was celebrated with a colorful Big Bang. At the press conference on September 6, Winterthur released over 1,000 balloons with a postcard into the air. Anyone in Switzerland or even the neighboring countries who then finds the "Beautiful greeting from Winterthur" can also win a short trip to the exciting city of culture in the SMS competition linked to it.

Responsible at ...Winterthur...: Remo Rey (Project Management, Winterthur Tourism), Maya Gadgil (Standortförderung Region Winterthur), Andreas Friolet (City of Winterthur). Responsible at Euro RSCG Zurich: Frank Bodin (overall responsibility), Urs, Schrepfer, Alexander Holtz (CD), Wolfgang Bark (text), Philipp Lengyel (AD), Luca Schneider, Lea Fischlin (graphics), Nathalie Jakober (consulting), Dan Cermak (photography), Markus Graf (image editing).

Urner Wochenblatt: Editor-in-chief Erich Herger resigns

The current editor-in-chief of the Uri weekly newspaper, Erich Herger, is running for the cantonal council. For this reason, he is resigning from his position as editor-in-chief with immediate effect: He has decided to run for the cantonal council, Herger said in a statement. Urnerwochenblatt.ch. It had always been clear to him that such a candidacy was not compatible with his position as editor-in-chief of the Uri weekly newspaper. As editor-in-chief, he observes and comments on political events in Uri. It is also a reporter of the political debate. Therefore, resigning was the only correct consequence.

Spina's Civil Voices: On the road to success with Nespresso fake

With a commercial produced as a spin-off of a Nespresso ad, Solidar Suisse is currently breaking all records. Nestlé is fighting back against the ad.

Within just three days, the clip has been seen by over 350,000 viewers (D, F, E), writes Spinas Civil Voices in a press release. With over 11,000 YouTube shares within 24 hours, the commercial was the most shared commercial video worldwide yesterday. There were also countless editorial contributions, including in Blick, Tagi, 20 Minuten, on ZDF, ARD, Spiegel, Focus and Bild online. As a result, over 20,000 emails have already been sent to George Clooney and Nestlé has agreed to sit down at a table with Solidar Suisse.

Nestlé fights back

Nestlé, however, defends itself against the viral ad. A Nespresso spokesperson told Horzint.net that Nespresso has placed great importance on sustainability and future viability for years. The company refers to its sustainability program Nespresso AAA Sustainable Quality, which aims to provide the company's customers with the best quality coffee while at the same time safeguarding the livelihoods of farmers and their village communities in the countries where the coffee is grown. The company is convinced that Nespresso is already doing more for the long-term quality of life of farmers, their families and their workers than the campaign demands.

There was never any intention to ban the viral ad, the spokesperson continued. At no time had the right of the organizations to publish their opinions been questioned. However, the way in which Solidar Suisse conducted the campaign was condemned "in the strongest terms".

> Last but not least: Well, Mr. Clooney, how does that feel?

Responsible at Solidar Suisse: Christian Engeli (Campaign Manager), Ruth Dällenbach (Managing Director). Responsible at Spina's Civil Voices: Matthias Freuler, Stephan Huwiler (creation), Lorenz Spinas (overall responsibility), Christoph Schott (new media consultant), Alexander Meier (director), Champignons (visual design).

Ticino with two new free political newspapers

Two free newspapers hit the market in Ticino on Wednesday. In *10 Minuti*, Lega President Giuliano Bignasca builds on the political content of his party’s Sunday newspaper, *Il Mattino*. In contrast, SP National Council candidate Nenad Stojanovic draws on his monthly publication, *Ticinoaperto.ch*.

10 Minuti - or Des Minüt, as the paper is called in Ticino dialect - is no different in style from the Lega dei Ticinesi's other means of communication. The cover of issue 1 features Fulvio Pelli as a green Hulk figure, while other topics include the NRLA, the post office and the Lega's election program. Bignasca's new newspaper will appear three times a week in future, the editor in charge, son Boris Bignasca, announced in advance. Three other members of staff are responsible for the canton, sport and world sections. The name 10 Minuti was not chosen at random, but alludes to the commuter newspaper 20 Minuten, which will also be published in Ticino from September 14 with a circulation of 36,000 copies.

While 10 Minuti could be found in the distribution boxes of Il mattino at numerous bus stops, Ticinoaperto.ch was only available at some Ticino train stations. With a circulation of 20,000 copies, social democrat Nenad Stojanovic wants to prevent the canton from becoming a political and media monopoly of the Bignasca clan, as he writes in a communiqué. The topics of the first edition, written by various authors, range from the nuclear phase-out, election fatigue, the Italian language in Bern to crossword puzzles. According to Stojanovic, it is financed exclusively by donations. The new Lega newspaper is financed by advertising. (SDA)
