The core members include Bern city councillors Urs Frieden (Greens) and Thomas Göttin (SP), lawyer Willi Egloff, journalists Manuel Gnos and Magdalena Schindler and museum director Jacqueline Strauss. If the necessary funds are raised, the team plans to launch in spring 2012. A professional editorial team of five or six people will take care of the content. The journalists will be independent and "critical and partisan, but not party-political". The budget is estimated at around half a million francs. The online newspaper does not yet have a name. McCann Erickson with Swiss franc loyalty for Swiss Opel dealers

In a campaign for Opel Suisse, McCann Erickson explains why it’s worth buying your car from a Swiss Opel dealer—rather than in Germany.

The strong franc is on everyone's lips and is causing more and more Swiss to make their purchases in neighboring countries, the agency writes in a statement. Especially when it comes to larger expenditures, many people travel to France or Germany. For example, to buy a car.

The fact that it really pays to buy your car from a Swiss Opel dealer is communicated in McCann Erickson's new campaign with the main message: "27%". That's how much you save if you stay loyal to the Swiss franc, the message goes. Accordingly, radio spots and posters play with national pride in a tongue-in-cheek manner.

The radio spots and ads have been on air since September 1 and the billboards since September 12, 2011.

Radio 105 receivable via DAB+ as of November

Radio 105 will soon be receivable via digital radio (DAB+). By broadcasting via the DAB+ broadcasting network, Radio 105 will be receivable on the move throughout German-speaking Switzerland, i.e. also in the car.

For 105 Managing Director Giuseppe Scaglione, this marks the beginning of a new era: "It has always been my dream to operate a radio station that can also be received on mobile devices throughout German-speaking Switzerland. With DAB+, this is now possible. This is a quantum leap. The 105 brand is anchored throughout German-speaking Switzerland through cable and Internet broadcasting - we will now benefit disproportionately from these years of development work with DAB broadcasting," he was quoted as saying in a statement.

After a one-month test phase in November 2011, the youth station will then begin regular digital broadcasting operations on December 1, 2011.
