News from the New Lgk: Moonliner Campaign Reaches Real Life

For seven years, Neue Lgk has been promoting the Moonliner night bus with illustrated «party pooper» characters and the slogan “We’ll get you out of there.” Now, the campaign is being linked to real life.

In the first phase, the public can help decide which of the five well-known frightening characters from the Moonliner campaign will soon be making nightlife unsafe in real life. Next spring, the appearance of the chosen party scare in Bern's nightclubs will be documented and linked to an online photo vote. The resulting material will in turn be used to design future campaign subjects.

The current figure voting on Moonliner.ch/competition is being advertised regionally with posters, advertisements on streetcar hangers, radio spots and various below-the-line measures. At the same time, Moonliner is taking its first steps in social media: You can now become a fan of the company at facebook.com/moonliner. Anyone who joins will be provided with background material such as character descriptions, photos and videos of the monsters from the campaign.

Patty Schnyder loses to Ringier

Former tennis player Patty Schnyder has lost her legal battle against Ringier Publishing. The Zurich public prosecutor's office does not want to respond to the complaint of trespass, threat and invasion of privacy.

In August, Sonntagsblick reported on the financial woes of the ex-tennis great and her husband Rainer Hofmann. A journalist traveled to Wesendorf in Lower Saxony, where the couple lived with Hofmann's parents. Because the employee entered the property of the house and left it only after repeated requests, Schnyder's mother-in-law sued the publishing house for trespass and threats. Because of a picture of the house in Sonntagsblick, she also wanted to take action against Ringier for invasion of privacy.

However, the Zurich-Limmat public prosecutor's office now fully agrees with Ringier and refuses to open an investigation. In the ruling, which is available to the news agency SDA, the public prosecutor states that the accusations are not justified. The journalist had left the property immediately after being asked to do so. In addition, there were no signs of a threat that could have frightened the owner of the house.

The public prosecutor's office also does not want to know about the accusation of violation of privacy. The house is easily visible to anyone who is at the address. The photo taken by the journalist therefore does not violate the private sphere of the plaintiff in any way.

Unless Patty Schnyder, or rather her family, appeals against this order, the Ringier publishing house now has all legal disputes with the ex-tennis player behind it. Schnyder did announce a civil lawsuit in September in the amount of 8.7 million Swiss francs for manipulative and untrue reporting, but never filed it. (SDA)

Seasonal cuisine: new look and new content

Starting January 3, 2012, *Saisonküche* will debut a fresh new look and new content. The cooking magazine brings the “Everyday Cooking” section to life, profiles prominent figures over lunch, and gives its readers a chance to share their thoughts as recipe critics.

According to the press release, a talented young chef is now at the stove for the everyday cooking section: Ralph Schelling. The 24-year-old creates dishes for every day and reveals tricks he learned from top chefs such as Ferran Adrià, Horst Petermann and Andreas Caminada. There will be reading material of a special kind in the Table Talk section: a culinary encounter with a celebrity in their favorite restaurant. Readers will also find short reports on current trends, special gadgets and news from the world of food and enjoyment. This also includes special wine tips, new cookbooks and a small herb guide. And who wants, can apply starting from January as RezepttesterIn. Two to three personal reviews of recipes will be published in the magazine.

The look has also changed with a slightly smaller format, new fonts and a clearer visual language.

Saisonküche is published by Migros Medien, appears monthly in German, French and Italian and is one of the most widely read cooking magazines in Switzerland with 682,000 readers (Mach-Basic 2011-2).

Only one ad can do that: The winners

The grand prize winners of the “Das kann nur ein Inserat” contest are, for the first time, a team from French-speaking Switzerland with a campaign—and a young agency owner with a single ad.

You can twist and turn it however you like: an advertisement is always a good idea. David Moret and Gaël Tran have put this basic advertising insight into practice in an amazingly simple and surprisingly new way - and created a series of three ads that you have to hold between your fingers and turn in a very specific way. Because only then can you read the text. The jury's verdict: 1st place and two tickets for the creative team from Euro RSCG Genève.

The best single subject is an advertisement that is also perfect for a playful approach - with a choice of five variants. The idea came from Silvio Seiler, who was already on the winner's podium at Das kann nur ein Inserat 2009 and recently opened his own agency in Schwellbrunn AR. Silvioseiler.ch operates.

Two further ideas for campaigns and individual advertisements made it onto the shortlist - and three of them onto the winners' podium.

- Individual ad idea "Are you interesting?" by Daniel Gremli (concept designer) and Richard Wegele (art director), both Webguerillas, Zurich
- Individual ad idea "The basis of motivation is self-acceptance" by Julien Joliat (graphics apprentice) and Nora Saner (consulting intern), both Inflagranti, Biel/Bienne
- Small ads" campaign idea by Sebastian Eppler (graphic designer at Wunderman, Zurich) and Luca Schneider (graphic designer at Euro RSCG, Zurich).
- Campaign idea "(M)arken" by Marielle Beusch (polygrapher at Leone Ming Est, Liechtenstein)

The fourth idea is not feasible for reasons of equal treatment of all market participants.

Werbewoche was present at the judging. You can read more about this in the Print edition.

The media agency OMD Switzerland has added three new clients to its portfolio: Bel, Tetley, and Delizio.

According to a statement, the French dairy group Groupe Bel has reorganized the cooperation with its media agencies and entrusted the majority of its global media budget to the Omnicom subsidiary OMD at the beginning of October. OMD was already active for Group Bel in the U.S. and Canada, and in the future will also handle the majority of Europe. With the exception of Great Britain, where OMD was also active in the past, the Aegis subsidiary Carat has been responsible for this region up to now. The media budgets for the Middle East and North Africa will remain with the Publicis subsidiary Zenith Optimedia. In Europe, Groupe Bel is coordinated centrally by OMD Paris; at OMD Switzerland, Bel is managed by Annette Dielmann in the North Unit team; the first campaigns will go on air in 2012.

OMD has already won Tetley Tea and Delizio Coffee as of the fourth quarter: OMD is supporting Tetley's new image presence with the creative agency Dentsu, London. And for Delizio, too, the new brand campaign developed by Ruf Lanz is being staged by OMD with creative formats.

Medienvielfalt Holding acquires 100 percent of Baz

MVH is acquiring 100 percent of the shares in Baz Holding, including its publishing houses and printing plants. The previous shareholders, led by Moritz Suter, have stepped down from the company and its board of directors. Filippo Leutenegger will become the new president of Baz.

"Moritz Suter has achieved important things in Basel. It is thanks to him that the Basler Zeitung still exists today as an independent company. Medienvielfalt Holding, with its broad support, will strengthen Baz's position as an independent voice," Tito Tettamanti, main shareholder of Medienvielfalt Holding, was quoted as saying.

The MVH appoints Filippo Leutenegger as Chairman and Delegate of the Board of Directors of Baz. According to the announcement, his task will be to put the company on a sound long-term financial footing. He has already successfully mastered a similar task at the former Jean Frey AG. The previous management of the company with CEO Roland Steffen and Editor-in-Chief Markus Somm has already taken important steps to restructure the company and will remain in office.

In addition to Chairman Filippo Leutenegger, the following are also members of the Board of Directors of Baz Holding
- Peter Wyss, Basel
- Hans Rudolf Gysin, Pratteln
- Adriana Ospel-Bodmer, Wollerau

Tito Tettamanti establishes Medienvielfalt Holding

The newly formed Medienvielfalt Holding (MVH), based in Zug, is committed to promoting media and opinion diversity in Switzerland through entrepreneurial means. MVH is backed by investor Tito Tettamanti and 17 major shareholders, as well as various minority shareholders.

Medienvielfalt Holding aims to contribute to the preservation of an intelligent and diverse spectrum of media and opinion in Switzerland, according to a statement on Wednesday. However, it also wants to be an offer to media professionals to increasingly critically engage with current social currents as well as to journalistically deepen Switzerland's liberal, democratic and federalist tradition. The MVH wants to achieve this goal through the following measures:

1. participation in media and media companies
2. promotion of discourse critical of the media
3. participation in national and international journalistic institutions

Until a few years ago, the Swiss media landscape was in a stable journalistic and economic balance thanks to a large number of regional publishers and corresponding competition, the statement continues. Today, a few media groups dominate the national scene - primarily from the media capital of Zurich. The reasons for this development lie in the dwindling print market, a booming online market and in the severely restricted scope for development of private companies in the electronic media due to state regulation. The consequences of the steadily decreasing competition in the Swiss media market are limited diversity of opinion and less and less effort for critical research - especially in the daily press. Especially in the current difficult times, the open competition of ideas, the search for truth instead of the proclamation of preconceived opinions is of utmost importance. Tito Tettamanti, main shareholder of Medienvielfalt Holding, says: "The critical debate about a new model of society is the main concern of Medienvielfalt Holding. Lateral thinkers are in demand."

100 percent of Baz shares acquired

Medienvielfalt Holding's first entrepreneurial activities are a substantial stake in the multimedia platform Les Observateurs.ch, founded by Uli Windisch of Windisch Media Prod, and the Acquisition of 100 percent of the shares in Baz Holding.

Medienvielfalt Holding is a stock corporation under Swiss law with its registered office in Zug and a share capital of CHF 40 million, divided into 75,000 registered shares of CHF 100 each and 65,000 registered shares of CHF 500 each. The main shareholder of MVH is Tito Tettamanti, Lugano (Castagnola) with 53.6 percent of the voting rights and 18.8 percent of the capital. The second largest shareholder with 12.5 percent of the capital is Georges Bindschedler, Muri BE.

Shareholders with interests of between 5 and 10 percent in the capital are
- Andreas Eichenberger, Binningen
- Urs Gribi, Binningen
- Ralf Klingler, Flawil
- Adriana Ospel-Bodmer, Wollerau
- Daniel Riediker, Pfäffikon SZ
- Giangiorgio Spiess, Lugano

Shareholders with an equity interest of less than 5 percent are
- Stéphane Barbier-Mueller, Geneva
- Pierre Bottinelli, Crans Montana
- Markus Gröflin, Rünenberg

- Hans Kaufmann, Wettswil ZH
- Filippo Leutenegger, Zurich
- Marina Masoni, Lugano
- Daniel Model, Salenstein
- Robert Nef, St.Gallen
- Uli Windisch, F-Veigy-Foncenex
In addition, there are various small shareholders with a combined stake of around 10 percent.

The Board of Directors of Medienfvielfalt Holding is composed as follows:
- Marina Masoni, President of the Board of Directors
- Filippo Leutenegger, Delegate of the Board of Directors
- Georges Bindschedler
- Robert Nef
- Uli Windisch

Ruf Lanz dresses warmly for Transa lingerie models

The Ruf Lanz agency carried out a guerrilla marketing campaign for Transa. In the campaign, half-naked models are bundled up warmly.

Ruf Lanz has noticed: In the cold pre-Christmas season, there are conspicuously many lingerie posters with half-naked models. Transa took pity on the poor creatures in the last few days - and wrapped the models up warm overnight.

Erdmannpeisker for Smart: Ready for winter

Winter presents many challenges for drivers. That's why Smart aftersales, together with the Biel-based agency Erdmannpeisker, is calling on Smart drivers all over the world to come in time for a winter check.

The key visual shows a snowboarder being pulled by a Smart car on an icy slope. Warmer countries alternatively use a pure service motif. A bearded adventurer is seen shortly before the start of an extended photo safari.
