Branders with new online presence
Branders, a brand consulting agency founded in 2005, has completely redesigned its website.
The new Website has not only been converted to html5, but also surprises with new images and a layout that is based on the concept of the online magazine The Brander, according to a statement. The new website is designed as a comprehensive agency portrait. The clear design, user-friendly structure and thematic emphasis are intended to underscore the agency's positioning as "The Fine Art of Branding". The emotional imagery and the publications section, which offers specialist articles written by agency employees with download options and takes visitors directly to the blog, are probably unique for branding agency websites.
Branders itself is responsible for the realization.
Bus accident in Valais: Press Council raises questions
The Swiss Press Council has raised questions about the *Blick*'s publication of photos of deceased children. "The lack of public interest is unmistakable," said Dominique von Burg, president of the Press Council.
The information value of these pictures is "close to zero", said von Burg when asked by the news agency SDA. The President of the Press Council also wonders whether the newspaper had the parents' consent to print the pictures. The procedure seemed "at least questionable" to von Burg. It is not yet clear whether the Press Council will take action. The Press Council usually takes action following complaints. However, it could also take action on its own initiative. An intervention would have to be decided by the majority of the Press Council.
In its Friday edition, Blick showed a girl on the cover who was killed in the bus accident on Tuesday evening. The father provided information in the report. Pictures of other victims were also printed. (SDA)
Swisscable: Hajo Leutenegger succeeds Filippo Leutenegger
There will be a change at the top of the Swisscable association. National Councillor Filippo Leutenegger was elected as the successor to long-standing President Hajo Leutenegger at today's General Assembly.
Hajo Leutenegger has decided to step down as President of Swisscable, according to a press release issued on Friday. He stepped down at today's General Assembly. In him, the cable network industry has lost a personality who has rendered outstanding services to strengthening and raising the profile of the industry over the past 17 years with great commitment, sound expertise and openness.
Hajo Leutenegger took over the management of the association at the General Assembly on March 31, 1995. According to the press release, his goals of strengthening the industry in the face of national competition and encouraging the cable networks to cooperate have been fulfilled and continue to be fulfilled. His political experience as a former member of parliament has also been of great benefit to Swisscable.
National Councillor Filippo Leutenegger (pictured), who was elected as the new President of Swisscable at today's General Assembly, stands for continuity. Under the new President, the cable network industry would continue to rely on its proven network infrastructure, maintain it and develop it further. The policy of cooperation between the cable networks will also be continued. In addition, the new President, who like his predecessor is committed to fundamental liberal values, will work to ensure that the entrepreneurial freedom of cable network companies is not curtailed. In Filippo Leutenegger, however, he is also a personality who stands for the change in the industry towards more proactive communication. This is logical, as there is now intense competition in the distribution of radio and TV programs and in telecommunications. This poses new challenges that need to be mastered, such as the convergence of the Internet and television, the growing demand for on-demand content and the increasing complexity of TV and telecommunications offerings. In this situation, the Board considers the experienced media entrepreneur and communicator Filippo Leutenegger to be the ideal Chairman for Swisscable.

Joiz celebrates its first anniversary
From March 30 to 31, Joiz will celebrate its first anniversary with a 24-hour live broadcast. Three presenters chosen by the audience will take their seats on the sofa in the "Living Room" at 5 p.m. on Friday. They won't leave until 24 hours later.
As always with Joiz, the audience plays the decisive role in the 24-hour live birthday show, the youth station said in a statement: viewers decide by voting which presenters will be on duty for the birthday show. Their task: to lead through the live show for 24 hours without leaving the "living room". The three presenters receive surprise guests on their sofa, interact with viewers, review the highs and lows from the first year of broadcasting, sing to live concerts and dance to live DJs. They are only allowed to leave the studio for short bathroom breaks.
The audience at home can influence the program at any time. With votes, via chat and social media, viewers determine the next program items, give the three presenters special tasks and instructions, or tune into the show themselves via Skype.
The moderator voting is now running on Joiz.ch. Guests and well-wishers will also be communicated on the station's website in the coming days.
