From Nature to the Living Room: Connected TV Performance as a Revenue Driver

Connected TV (CTV) has long been viewed primarily as a branding medium—and was often underestimated by the industry as a performance channel. A recent case study by Teads for the natural cosmetics brand bedrop impressively refutes this perception: Within just 30 days, the CTV campaign achieved a ROAS of nearly 300 percent—almost four times the target of 80 percent. At the same time, brand awareness increased by seven percentage points. The case study was first presented publicly in March at the D2C Summit in Lucerne, in collaboration with bedrop founders Betül Yönak-Bein and Florian Bein.

A Measurable Goal Instead of Just Reach

bedrop, a natural cosmetics brand specializing in bee products, wanted to integrate CTV as a new component in its omnichannel marketing mix—focusing not only on reach but also on measurable results. The goal was to drive high-quality traffic to the website and increase online sales.

To achieve this, Teads utilized its CTV traffic solution, which directly links premium streaming reach to website visits and conversions. The approach was consistently data-driven—from creative development to final conversion measurement. Before the campaign launched, bedrops’ creative assets were pre-tested using Neurons AI. Neurons is a neuroscience-based AI platform that analyzes how the human brain processes visual stimuli—specifically, which visual elements, colors, and compositions actually capture attention and stick in the memory. This approach is said to have identified the most effective creative variations before a single franc of the media budget was spent.

Teads Studio then transformed these optimized assets into interactive TV experiences: Branded skins and embedded QR codes created a direct response path from the streaming screen to users’ smartphones—a bridge between the “lean-back” moment in front of the TV and the active impulse to buy. The result: 55,000 website visits in just 30 days, with an average session duration of two minutes—which, according to Teads, proves that this was not just fleeting click-through traffic, but genuine interest in making a purchase.

Comprehensive Measurement Thanks to Connected TV Performance and Cross-Device Tracking

A key technical element of the campaign was the use of the Teads Universal Pixel and the Teads Household Graph. Together, these tools enabled cross-device mapping that linked CTV exposure to website visits and purchases—even when users had left their home network. This is intended to close one of the biggest measurement gaps in CTV marketing. An accompanying Brand Lift Study conducted with Cint also provided valid evidence of the campaign’s branding impact.

Florian Bein, CEO of bedrop, comments on the collaboration: «Thanks to the excellent advice and precise optimizations of our assets, we’ve been able to secure a significant competitive advantage in the CTV space. For our 2026/2027 marketing mix, CTV is an indispensable pillar for translating brand strength directly into measurable performance results.»

Katarina Ereš, Vice President of SME at Teads, sees the case as evidence of a structural shift in the CTV market: «The bedrop campaign is a prime example of what CTV can achieve today: It bridges the traditional silo between awareness and conversion. CTV measurement is no longer a topic for the future—it’s the present.»
