Artificial intelligence is transforming the communications industry at an unprecedented pace. At the same time, economic pressures are causing agencies and communications departments to offer fewer and fewer entry-level positions. Farner is responding to this challenge and, to mark its 75th anniversary, is launching the Farner Communication Boot Camp – a four-day intensive program designed to give young talents a hands-on introduction to the industry.

A four-day intensive program with the Farner Boot Camp

The boot camp will take place from August 17 to 20, 2026, and, according to the organizers, will cover the core disciplines of modern communication: strategy, public affairs, creativity, branding, social media, and crisis management. Creativity is used as an amplifier and a key differentiator across all disciplines—with work conducted systematically across disciplines. The program is led by leading consultants in the industry.

CEO Michel Grunder sums up the philosophy behind the program: «We’re celebrating Farner’s 75th anniversary by investing in the next 75 years. Communication needs young people who think critically, work creatively, and are willing to take on responsibility. We want to open our doors to exactly these people—and show them what our industry can achieve through the collaboration of various experts and hand in hand with technological advancements.»

Target audience: College graduates and those just starting their careers

The Farner Boot Camp is designed for people who are about to graduate or have some initial professional experience—and who are passionate about communication, PR, public affairs, marketing, or brand strategy. Participants will work on real-world briefings, practice public speaking, and experience how modern communications work in practice. Space is limited. Applications are expected to open in early June.

Farner was founded in Switzerland in 1951 and, according to the company, employs more than 300 talented professionals across seven locations. Under the umbrella brand Team Farner, the agency is now active in four European markets and positions itself as a fully integrated consulting and communications platform—ranging from public affairs to brand strategy to performance marketing.
