Living isn't a one-time, completed project, but rather an ongoing process. With a new campaign for Micasa, Leo Burnett aims to inspire people to make the most of their homes.

A new series of spots shows what happens when you make more of the different rooms. The insight that everyone gathers in the kitchen at the end of occasions at home serves as the implementation. And so, in the course of the TV spot, guests also gather in the children's room, the bathroom or even the newly refurbished laundry room. In addition to the main spot, various additional spots throughout the year draw attention to the respective promotions, according to the press release.

Last but not least: Beginner search for advanced users

The CCBEU language school showed Brazilian moviegoers: In everyday life, it always pays to be proficient in English.

Shortly after the supposed start of the movie, the picture stopped and a young man addressed the bewildered audience in English. However, the Portuguese subtitles failed a little later. Only a few lucky viewers were not dependent on it and understood the text that followed. High time for a language course. The Zebrabold agency was responsible for the campaign.

Specialist event for the target group of connoisseurs

People have been talking about the "silver surfers" for some time now. In the meantime, a few particularly active media people - such as Kurt Aeschbacher - have also reached this "best age". Together with Schoscho Rufener, the TV presenter is hosting a mature specialist event on April 8.

Last September, Kurt Aeschbacher and Hans-Jürg Rufener founded 50plus together. The core of the young start-up is the 50plus magazine of the same name. The magazine has over 350,000 readers. 62 percent of them are aged 50 to 64. This target group is considered to be "quality-conscious, sporty, active" and attaches great importance to Swissness. And is also known to have high purchasing power. This is why these former senior citizens are often referred to not only as silver surfers, but also as golden agers. At the specialist event, Peter Gross, Professor of Sociology at the University of St. Gallen, wants to find out what this stage of life has to do with a "stroke of luck". Thomas Bürgi from the School of Business will present a study on how the 50-plus generation uses social media. Petra Dandl from Prosieben Sat.1 discusses with Aeschbi about Sat.1 Gold, "how a channel actively approaches the target group of 49- to 64-year-olds".

The afternoon event on Monday, April 8 starts at 2 p.m. and takes place in the Labor-Bar. Admission is free. You can register via 50plus-survey.ch.

Wirz and BFU/VCS pack the world for cyclists

Just in time for the start of the cycling season, Wirz launched a special campaign as part of the «Love Velo – Always Wear a Helmet» initiative organized by BFU, VCS, and Swiss Cycling.

In the early morning on the Utoquai in Zurich and on the Zentralplatz in Biel, numerous potential collision objects in the street space - from poles and pillars to benches and trees to cars and fountains - were completely wrapped with padded packaging foil. The films were held together by adhesive tapes with the inscription "Even better protection is provided by a bicycle helmet," according to the release. "For once, we wanted to demonstrate in a slightly different way that there are very simple ways to protect your head. With a surprising on-site action that also has the potential to be picked up by the media," says Thomas Kurzmeyer, Creative Director at Wirz. Because bicycle helmets are still worn too rarely in everyday life, especially in the city. "The risk of accidents over short distances is often considered low," explains Daniel Menna from the BFU, "which is why the helmet stays at home despite being available."

The campaign and the media response in the Blick am Abend, the Bieler Tagblatt and on Bluewin TV, among others, show that such fundamentally serious topics can also be communicated with wit and without any moralistic finger-pointing.

Responsible at the BFU Beratungsstelle für Unfallverhütung: Peter Matthys (Head of Marketing / Campaigns), Camilla Krebs (Campaign Manager). Responsible at VCS Verkehrs-Club der Schweiz: Cristine Steinmann (Project Manager Road Safety). Responsible at Wirz Advertising: Thomas Kurzmeyer (CD), Rahel Nemitz (art direction), Ben Staudenmann (graphics), Franziska Pennington (text), Flurin Hardt, Fabiana Imhof (consulting), Royal Rolls Production (film production), Streuplan (promotion).

SDV Award: The Shortlist

Who will win the awards at the Swiss Dialog Marketing Prize 2013 is still open. However, the jury has already decided on the shortlist in the 16 categories. The winners will be announced at the award night on June 14, 2013.

At the Swiss Dialog Marketing Award (SDV Award), awards are presented in 16 categories as well as the two special prizes SDV Junior Award and Platinum Award. It is not yet clear who will win the awards. But the jury has now determined the nominees for the categories. "2013 is a strong vintage. I am very pleased with the results," says Christian Huldi, chairman of the jury. "We were able to evaluate many good works on broad topics."

The well-mixed jury with specialists from all areas of dialog marketing went to work critically, according to a statement. In addition to the objective evaluation of the submitted campaigns, the jurors worked for the first time with an emotional checklist. This additionally helped to classify the work. Only those who looked at a campaign with the feeling of "resentment" and thought to themselves that they should have come up with such a perfect work themselves were awarded the maximum number of points.

The new basis for judging was also a support to determine whether the campaign at hand was also in line with the spirit of the Swiss Dialog Marketing Award. Fifteen percent of the entries received a bronze, silver or gold award from the jury. "The further step towards the quality of the award is clearly noticeable here," says Milo Stössel, President SDV. This year, slightly fewer certificates were awarded than last year. On the shortlist, Swiss works and agencies again dominate by a clear margin, as was already the case with the submissions. This means that what you can examine at the award night on June 14, 2013 and afterwards at the traveling exhibition is truly the best of Swiss dialog marketing. Tickets for the awards ceremony will be available from April 16, 2013 at Sdv-award.ch. Werbewoche is a media partner.
