Last but not least: PR interview 2.0

Deutsche Bank is reluctant to give interviews. And when it does, it provides not only the questions in advance, but also the answers, ready to go. A case for Martin Sonneborn.

The relationship between journalism and PR is one of the much-discussed media topics at the moment. The Werbewoche article "A phantom is on the loose" by Isabel Imper takes a detailed look at the topic and lets all sides have their say. The journalist Ronnie Grob recently formulated ten questions (and answers), which in turn led PR agency partner Andreas Hugi to a Counterstatement moved. In his current Editorial Werbewoche editor-in-chief Pierre C. Meier concludes that the communications industry must also have a vital interest in preserving media credibility.

A segment on the "Heute-Show" by ZDF foreign affairs reporter Martin Sonneborn confirms how many communications managers imagine their former profession. Most people are familiar with the former Titanic editor-in-chief and Die Partei co-founder Sonneborn. Apparently not to Deutsche Bank. The fact that it granted one of its rare interviews to him seems grossly negligent from a PR perspective. The prerequisite for the interview was that it had to be conducted exactly as Deutsche Bank had prepared it in advance. Every question formulated, every answer formulated.

"So I was supposed to play the lead role in a fake interview for the bank. Deutsche Bank was damn lucky - that's one of my specialties," says Sonneborn in the opening credits of the relaxed interview. Roll the movie. (hae)

"The Golden Dudes Worldwide" launched

Die Hirschen Group lanciert mit «The Golden Dudes» eine internationale Allianz unabhängiger, inhabergeführter Strategie- und Kreativpartner. Einziger Schweizer «Dude» ist die Agentur Partner & Partner.

Partner & Partner has already been active in Germany for 15 years and has maintained a close partnership with the agency "Zum goldenen Hirschen" for several years. Both agencies were founded in 1995 and in both agencies the founders and owners are still involved in the daily business. "For years now we have been exchanging ideas, projects and even sometimes employees. Therefore, our engagement with the 'Dudes' is not the start, but the further development of a successful cooperation", says Christoph Eschmann, one of the owners of Partner & Partner.

In addition to the partner in Switzerland, Allianz has offshoots in most of the G-20 countries. From now on, the alliance partners want to realize their common ideas and visions with "The Golden Dudes" for international clients in Switzerland, set fresh accents in the communications scene - and conquer the international market together with their clients. "In the Swiss communications market, internationally active clients in particular often have the problem that they only have large network agencies to choose from. With the alliance 'The Golden Dudes', Partner & Partner now offers companies with an international focus the chance to reorient themselves," says Christoph Eschmann. "Creativity, individually composed teams, country- and culture-specific solutions, and cost efficiency - these are the guiding principles of 'The Golden Dudes'."

With six locations, the Hirschen Group, which has over 400 employees, is one of the largest independent, owner-managed agencies in Germany and has been the leading campaigning agency for years. With currently 25 employees and annual sales of four to five million Swiss francs, Partner & Partner is an efficient agency with an integrated communications approach and long-standing customer relationships.

New initiative wants to abolish reception fees

The organizers of a new popular initiative to abolish radio and TV reception fees can begin collecting signatures. They have until May 12, 2015, to submit the required 100,000 signatures.

The Federal Chancellery has pre-examined the initiative "Radio and Television - without Billag" and found that it complies with the legal forms, as it announced in the Federal Gazette on Tuesday. The initiators want to enshrine in the federal constitution that the federal government does not levy reception fees. "We are against flat-rate charging," they write on their Website. Radio and television should be self-financing. And all media companies should have a level playing field.

The initiative is supported by the organization Solidarische Schweiz (SOS), it says. This Bürge, who had already launched an initiative with SOS in 2011 to abolish radio and TV fees, is also on the committee. At that time, the initiators gave up after less than 20,000 people had signed in 16 months. SOS had misjudged the situation, Bürge said at the time. The organization had expected approval from the media. However, this failed to materialize, which is why the initiative failed. (SDA)

KSP: Climate Change Switzerland for Myclimate

KSP is running a campaign for Myclimate to raise awareness that climate change is not sparing Switzerland either. In addition to print and online ads, the campaign also features radio spots produced by Hitmill.

Global climate change does not stop at Switzerland. Climate impacts such as heat waves, unpredictable storms, floods and landslides affect the environment, the economy and society - and thus everyone in Switzerland. (More on this in the Climate Report 2013 of the Bafu). As one of Switzerland's leading climate protection organizations, Myclimate's mission is to make the Swiss aware of the threats posed by climate change and to offer simple ways in which private individuals and companies can avoid or reduce their CO2 emissions.

Based on the strategy of making the abstract global topic of climate change tangible at a local level, Myclimate is launching an awareness campaign in November. Motto: "Climate change is also changing Switzerland." In order to reach people with this serious topic, myclimate relies on a humorous implementation by KSP, implemented in a media-appropriate way for print/online and radio. In print, online, and on the eBoards of the major Swiss train stations, myclimate transforms the names of Swiss celebrities in such a way that they make the effects of climate change tangible. Tranquillo Barnetta becomes a threatening tornado, Roger Schawinski even a mudslide. The text ads appear in the Freespace of 20 Minute.

The radio plays well-known Swiss children's songs with surprising climate variations. In "Heile, heile Säge," for example, the rain only stops after 15 days. And instead of a little horse, a kudu gallops in "Hopp, hopp, hopp". The children's choir, known from the children's music project of the Swiss hit producers Hitmill, sings. The spots go on air exclusively on Radio Zürisee at the launch.

Responsible at Myclimate: René Estermann (Managing Director), Kathrin Dellantonio (Division Manager Marketing & Sales), Andrea Altorfer (Deputy Division Manager Sales & Marketing), Kai Landwehr (Project Manager Marketing). Responsible at KSP Krieg Schlupp Partner:  Flo Wacker (creative direction), Beat Egger (text), Benny Goldstein (art direction), Kevin Zysset and Paco Alborghetti (graphics), Flavia Salvisberg and Rahel Zumbühl (consulting); Hitmill (radio production).

Werbeweischer cooperates with arthouse cinemas

Starting in 2014, Werbeweischer will market the Zurich-based arthouse cinema group, thereby expanding its market share in Zurich from 45 percent to 66 percent.

The arthouse cinema group with its total of seven movie theaters has been committed to high-quality studio films from all continents, documentaries and works by Swiss filmmakers for over 30 years. The arthouse cinemas also show all the highlights of international film festivals. "We share a passion for high-quality cinema with Werbeweischer," says Beat Käslin, Managing Director of the Arthouse Cinema Group, "and we look forward to a good and successful collaboration." The long-term collaboration with the Arthouse Cinema Group once again underlines WerbeWeischer's premium claim to the medium of cinema. "In future, we will be able to offer our customers even more first-class environments for high-quality brand staging in cinemas," says Nils Schilling, Managing Director of WerbeWeischer Switzerland.

Last but not least: Super-Zoom

After a commercial for the Nokia Lumia took a jab at the iPhone a few weeks ago, Samsung is now also getting a jab in a second commercial full of clichés.

Nokia's latest commercial is also about showcasing its 41-megapixel camera and telling an entertaining story. This time it's about a couple, a chick and her show-off boyfriend, who organize a photo shoot on the beach. He wants to take photos of them with his Galaxy S4 with zoom function and extends it further and further. With his super zoom, he finally puts all the bathers to flight. And makes a monkey of himself with this oversized zoom, a mixture of phallic symbol and pinocchion nose.

Nokia doesn't need to show off with a zoom function. Because for the Nokia Lumia: "Nothing else comes close". (sis)

Fruitcake: New Atupri campaign

Fruitcake launches this year's campaign for the insurance company Atupri. The focus is once again on the sound of Katy Perry and brand ambassador Barbara Megert.

In an announcement on Monday, Fruitcake announces the launch of the 2013 Atupri campaign, which has been centered on the sound of Katy Perry and brand ambassador Barbara Megert. The Bernese Oberlander, who works as a lawyer, convinced those responsible with her natural charisma and acting talent.

Since 2001, Fruitcake has been responsible for the creative advertising measures and communication media of the former SBB health insurance company. In these ten years, the SME Atupri has consolidated itself as one of the best-known Swiss health insurers among the more than 100 at the time and still 60 today, and has become a strong brand, according to the press release. This Markom path has been difficult, because health insurance is not part of the bling-bling world of high interest.

The latest generation of banners, TV commercials, e-panels and posters on public transport, as well as print, are some of the tools in use for the current campaign.
