JvM/Limmat: International image campaign for Ifolor

In order to strengthen Ifolor's image in Switzerland and increase awareness in Germany and Austria, Jung von Matt awareness, Jung von Matt/Limmat has developed a new campaign.

Founded in 1961, the family-owned company Ifolor has been manufacturing its high-quality photo products at its Kreuzlingen site since the very beginning and is now also successfully active in Germany, Austria, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The new campaign shows how quickly the most beautiful moments pass and can only be experienced again and again with a photo book from ifolor. In the first TV commercial, the viewer witnesses how an unathletic man in his mid-thirties conquers a steep climbing wall for the first time in his life. But before he can really enjoy his great moment, it is already in the past: the protagonist hangs lonely in the air and cannot share his success with anyone. A little boy who hits his first hole in one has a similar experience in the second TV commercial.

Last but not least: They're crazy, the signs

Sign spinning has been a well-established form of advertising in the United States for years and is now making its way to Europe. However, as a new video shows, the true masters are still to be found across the Atlantic.

The idea of placing people on the roadside as living advertising signs has a stale aftertaste of decadence and degradation. At least in Hollywood movies. There, this job, together with sizzling burgers, forms the lowest level of the value chain. The human signs circumvent the ban on permanently installed advertising on sidewalks and other places.

Unbenannt-5_50

At the beginning of the noughties, the American agency AArrow Advertising had the brilliant idea of having the sign holders perform tricks instead of just standing there: Sign spinning was born. The result is closely related to breakdancing. A sport in the service of advertising. Like football, only more official.

//www.youtube.com/watch?v=t43BnzX9CfQ

AArow Advertising even organizes the annual World Sign Spinner Championship. In the meantime, Germany has also joined in with Signspin an agency specializing in the art of sign spinning. It praises signspinning as the "most spectacular form of advertising in the world". At least it is cheaper than, for example, having an Austrian jump out of the stratosphere for a bit of attention. A pleasant side effect: videos of talented sign spinners spread on YouTube free of charge and including the advertising message. Thousands of times over. This has happened and been seen again in the last few days. This young man is taking the advertising fun to a pretty high level and is getting the attention he deserves on social media. Would this perhaps also be something for Switzerland? (hae)

Ruf Lanz makes Swiss politics more youthful

Ruf Lanz's new campaign for the Umbrella Organization of Swiss Youth Parliaments gives the Federal Council members and Christoph Blocher a trendy makeover.

The umbrella organization Swiss Youth Parliaments (DSJ) currently unites 33 local, cantonal and national youth parliaments in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. It takes care of the training, support and networking of youth parliamentarians. In addition, the DSJ promotes and accompanies the founding of new youth parliaments and is active throughout Switzerland in the area of youth policy, youth promotion and youth participation.

Now, for the first time, the umbrella organization is drawing attention to itself with a pointed advertising campaign by Ruf Lanz. With the slogan "Make Swiss politics more youthful," Swiss young people are urged to get more involved in their own interests. The campaign highlights how far politics is usually from young people. Seven subjects feature federal councillors, restyled as young people. An eighth subject is dedicated to former Federal Councilor Christoph Blocher, who continues to have a decisive influence on Swiss politics.

Because the Swiss youth parliaments are open to all young people, a broad spectrum of youth types is deliberately depicted: "From Hiphop-Ueli to Rasta-Dorli to Hipster-Didi," as Watson.ch headlined. The campaign will be launched from November 3 with a target-group-specific mix of offline and online measures (Facebook, Twitter, Ron Orp, etc.). The kick-off was marked by the personal handover of his subject to Federal President Didier Burkhalter as part of a DSJ event.

Wirz and Watson agree: Zit für öppis News!

The first campaign for Watson, Switzerland's new news portal, kicks off on Monday. It was conceived, developed, and "unfucked" by Wirz.

The media today are monotonous and resemble each other. Watson brings the news differently. Unconventionally and without paying attention to the usual rules. Because it is time to do something different, to break out, to dare and to revolutionize. With the goal of shaping a more tolerant, smarter and fairer world together. With wit and intelligence. It should be fun and yet thought-provoking. This way of thinking is already expressed in the claim: #NewsUnfucked. Real news, without blah-blah, entertaining but never superficial, prepared for a target group with the attention span of a YouTube clip.

The whole campaign lives up to the claim: it's different, unconventional and doesn't pay attention to the usual rules. The posters are dirty, loud and pink. The headlines comment on world events in the terse language of a new generation. They use idioms from the Internet, say and ask things that no one else would dare, and are something between refreshingly direct and impertinent. Unfucked, that is.

WATSON_01

The multi-phase campaign started last week, when watson's 1,500 most loyal readers were surprised with a "starter kit. It contained posters, stickers, a thick pen and an assignment: Unfuck the City. Since then, wild posters, stickers and tags have been creating a pink and black background noise in the cities. The first poster flight follows on Monday:
Six motifs from the fields of politics, sports, society, media and pop culture are aimed at the general public. Now everyone knows: It's Zit for öppis News.

Throughout the campaign period, all Twitter, Instagram and Facebook posts with the hashtag #newsUnfucked will be featured on the campaign page Watson.ch/unfucked collected.

From December 2014, Iris Ungricht will mainly be heard on Radio 1 in the evenings and at weekends. She succeeds Patricia Broder, who left Radio 1 at the end of October, according to a press release. Eyeloveyou: Vitamins in the vernacular

The Basel-based agency Eyeloveyou designed and implemented a catchy annual communication campaign for Halibut by Merz Pharma.

According to the press release, the natural-based vitamin products are specifically recommended for winter prophylaxis, for the development of brain membranes, as a contribution to normal heart function, for bone formation or for general strengthening of the body. Eyeloveyou illustrates the benefits of the products with popular comparisons such as "strong as a bear", "a brain like an elephant" and others. The headlines are staged by presenting the meaningful elements as icons instead of words. This is intended not only to stimulate brain activity, but also to make the campaign all the more catchy.

Halibut_Brain_DE

The headlines are set in strong typography on the color of the respective product. The clearly visible packshot provides a further link. The high recognition value strengthens the Halibut umbrella brand.

Halibut_Classic_Quer_DE_0

The campaign was implemented in the three national languages of German, French and Italian. Some of the icons also had to be translated - because the iconography of the vernacular changes with the language. The new campaign can now be seen as advertisements in various formats, at the POS in pharmacies and drugstores and as an animated version on eBoards.

"The Circle": Arson attack and harassment in Kiev

An arson attack was carried out at the Molodist Film Festival in Kyiv one day after the screening of the Swiss film «Der Kreis.» On Friday, masked individuals stormed a movie theater and chanted slogans.

As the Molodist film festival points out Facebook writes, more than a dozen masked men from the Right Front stormed the Cinema Panorama in Kiev at 5.40 p.m. on Friday and once again disrupted a screening of "Sunny Bunny". "Sunny Bunny" is the section of the festival that shows films with gay, lesbian and transgender content. The men chanted slogans such as "This movie is immoral and therefore forbidden" and behaved aggressively towards audience members. Before people were physically injured, the festival organizers were able to evacuate the audience through the back door.

Michael Stütz, jury member of the "Sunny Bunny" competition at the Molodist International Film Festival, had a stroke of luck: "I wasn't there yesterday because I had already seen the film, but I was in the car on the way there because I was supposed to meet my colleagues. Thank God they told me not to get out of the car, otherwise I would have run straight into their arms. So it was another stroke of luck for everyone involved, but the mood was very depressed."

For the makers of the Swiss film "Der Kreis", it is therefore clear that Wednesday's arson attack on the Kindo Zhovten was also a "hate-motivated action". In the middle of the screening of the film "Les nuits d'été" - which is about travesty - an unknown person threw an incendiary device into the auditorium on Wednesday, as the producer of "Der Kreis", Ivan Madeo, announced on Friday.

1380224_809834309084089_1491441892846584604_n

Michael Stütz was present at the attack: "I was sitting in the hall when the whole thing started, smoke bombs suddenly went off and it began to burn," he told the "Kreis" team by email. Fortunately, the hall was not particularly full, otherwise there could have been mass panic with unforeseeable consequences. "We all got out relatively quickly and in an orderly fashion. But when suddenly a lot of smoke started pouring into the foyer, already from the fire, everyone panicked and wanted to get out, pushing doors in the wrong direction - the whole nine yards." Unfortunately, the cinema was completely overwhelmed and the police were nowhere to be seen even 30 minutes after the attack - when the entire rear roof was already ablaze.

1380448_809834292417424_6229708928500514596_n

The festival will continue and, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the cinema will be rebuilt. The team from "Der Kreis" expressly points out that the actions were not explicitly directed against their film, but against the "Sunny Bunny" section in general. "The Circle" is set in the Zurich gay scene of the 1950s and 1960s and was selected by the Federal Office of Culture in September as the Swiss entry in the race for an Oscar in 2015 (Werbewoche.ch reported). The film was launched at the 2014 Berlinale in the Panorama section, where it won the Teddy Award and the Audience Award (Werbewoche.ch reported). (hae)
