Tolerance gets us all further

A cardinal, an imam, and a rabbi are joining forces to promote greater tolerance. Together, these religious leaders—setting an example—pool their strength to pull a stuck minibus out of the mud.

A cardinal, an iman and a rabbi join forces to promote more tolerance. In their role model function, the religious leaders join forces to push a stuck minibus out of the mud. With this advertisement, the Interreligious Association of Switzerland is promoting tolerance between different religions and cultures. The Euro RSCG Zurich is responsible for the campaign. Frank Bodin, CEO of Euro RSCG Zurich, wrote in a letter to the media that this could only be advertising, making the impossible possible in one image and thus communicating in a highly emotional way not only with people's minds, but also touching their hearts. The campaign is a gift from the agency to the public. The agency is covering the costs of the campaign, and many media outlets were prepared to run the campaign free of charge. Following the example of its client Migros, Euro RSCG Zurich / Geneva has launched an advertising culture percentage, the proceeds of which flow into campaigns for financially weak organizations. This has resulted in campaigns for the Red Cross, Tibet and Sporthilfe, among others.

Zurich is becoming increasingly attractive as a business location. Many companies are relocating to Zurich and choosing to be close to the airport because of its good transport connections. Unique Airport is responding to this demand and is now publicizing the offices on the airport site with a campaign by Weber Harbeke. The new campaign dramatizes the fact that these properties are not just close to the airport, but right in the middle of it. And thus, as the claim puts it, closer to the world. So close that you can almost see the landmarks of New York, Sydney or Paris through the window.

Last but not least: Employees advertise for their breadwinners

Companies are increasingly using their employees for advertising. The German newspaper Süddeutsche reported on the young saleswoman Vanessa, who advertises her employer, the fashion label American Apparel, with frivolous photos.

Companies are increasingly using their employees for advertising. The German newspaper Süddeutsche reported on the young saleswoman Vanessa, who uses frivolous photos to advertise for her employer, the fashion label American Apparel. This trend has also made it across the pond. Several companies have launched campaigns with their employees, and a number of banks are advertising with their advisors. "Advertising with employees", according to Süddeutsche Zeitung, "is en vogue".
If this preference for in-house models continues, it is to be hoped that the average employee from next door will be preferred in this country. The job search would be very stressful if, in addition to a dynamic appearance, glowing references and impeccable social skills, a successful application also included a flawless walk down the catwalk à la Heidi Klum.

You wear butter

Fine butter is no longer just applied thickly to a piece of bread! Recently, it has also been worn as a cheeky "Mödeli" on T-shirts.

Fine butter is no longer just applied thickly to a piece of bread! Recently, it has also been worn as a cheeky "Mödeli" on T-shirts.
Now Die Butter is calling for a competition. We are looking for the ideal slogan to advertise the popular piece of Anke on the T-shirt. A jury will select the top 10 from all the slogans submitted, which will then be posted online at www.butterfrau.ch from mid-May. The slogan with the most clicks will ultimately be the winner and will be printed on the new butter shirts. The closing date for entries is May 16, 2007.

The public prosecutor had accused 42-year-old Erwin Arnada of "causing confusion in society" and "damaging the morals of the country" by publishing lewd material. He had demanded up to two years in prison.
Arnada had defended himself by pointing out that no photos of naked women were shown, only women with bare legs and deep cleavage. The charges have now been dismissed on formal legal grounds. It lacked the necessary connection to press law. The public prosecutor's office is considering an appeal.

Meanwhile, according to the SDA report, Muslim demonstrators gathered outside the court, reacting with disappointment to the acquittal. The Front of Islamic Defenders had announced a "war" in the event of an acquittal. Hundreds of police officers were deployed to prevent attacks. However, there were no incidents.

The first issue of Indonesian Playboy was published in April last year. Afterwards, angry Muslims attacked the editorial building in Jakarta. The magazine then moved its headquarters to the Hindu-majority island of Bali.
