SRF postpones "Tatort" due to terrorist attacks

In light of the terrorist attacks in Paris, SRF, NDR, and ARD have decided not to air the planned two-part episode of «Tatort» starring Til Schweiger. In the episode, Inspector Nick Tschiller investigates a terrorist organization.

The two episodes should have been broadcast on the next two Sundays. Some scenes in "The Great Pain" and "Purgatory" were reminiscent of last Friday's acts of terrorism, SRF announced on Tuesday. Out of respect for the victims of Paris, the two episodes are now expected to be shown in January 2016. Instead, two first broadcasts of "Tatort" planned for January 2016 will be brought forward. Blick and Sonntagsblick surprise with feeling

The Christmas campaign, launched by Jung von Matt/Limmat on behalf of Ringier, kicks off with an emotional commercial. In it, five children surprise their real grandparents.

Since the summer, readers of Blick and Sonntagsblick have been able to find out more about the company on a Blick-owned Microsite upload their wishes. With a bit of luck, these wishes will be fulfilled by the wish team of the Blick Group. People have already been made happy this way almost 30 times, Ringier writes in a statement on Monday.

Some of these touching wishes and surprising realizations will be turned into content by the editorial teams of the Blick titles. In this way, not only the well-wishers but also the readers will benefit from the campaign, according to the press release. In addition, the Blick titles can thus demonstrate their proximity to their target group.

In keeping with the Christmas season, the next round is now being ushered in with an emotional film, and readers are being called upon to send in further wishes. In the spot, five children surprise their unsuspecting grandparents with their artistic skills in the specially rented Monti Circus.

Since there was only one chance to capture the real emotions of the surprised grandparents, six hidden cameras were used and several hours of footage were collected, according to the statement. The result was a touching, four-minute web film, which can now also be seen in a short version in the cinema and on TV.

Samsung launches 360° VR music video with Seven

Samsung is using virtual reality to promote its new Wireless Audio 360° Speaker. In collaboration with Serranetga and Swiss soul musician Seven, the company is launching a 360° VR music video for the latter's song "No".

Unlike conventional speakers, which project sound in only one direction, Samsung's new Wireless Audio 360° Speakers evenly fill the entire room with sound. In order to convey this sound experience up close to the target group, the campaign relies on an elaborately produced 360° music video. The proverbial center of the VR experience is the Samsung 360° Speaker, which fills the room with sound in the form of animated sound waves.

Florian Beck, Executive Creative Director of Serranetga, on the project: "Virtual Reality has outgrown the early adopter stage and is well on its way to becoming a mass phenomenon at the latest since Youtube and Facebook support 360° videos."

The music video is promoted via YouTube and Facebook. Even without VR glasses or Google Cardboard, the target group can immerse itself in the virtual world via desktop or smartphone.

Epica Awards 2015: Three Golds for Switzerland

A successful start to Epica for Swiss agencies: On the very first day, three Swiss creative agencies—Wirz, Publicis, and Leo Burnett—won the top Gold award.

berlin-epica-tag-1

Since Monday morning, the jury, consisting of representatives from advertising trade media, has been meeting at the Scandic Hotel Kurfürstendamm in Berlin. It is not only the largest, but also the most critical and debating Epica jury so far, as Editorial Director Mark Tungate notes with satisfaction at the end of the first day. It is composed of 27 journalists from Greece, USA, Estonia, Italy, Germany, Norway, Hungary, Slovenia, Denmark, Netherlands, Finland, Bosnia, Belgium, Serbia, Poland, Italy, Russia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland and France. With Colombia, Latin America is also represented on the jury for the first time in Epica history.

Switzerland has been lucky so far. Only Ruf Lanz and Wirz had to admit defeat in the battle for gold in one category each: Ruf Lanz for Welti-Furrer Fine Art in "B-to-B & Corporate" and Wirz for Tibits in "Consumer Services." However, both campaigns are still in the running for silver and bronze - these results will only be calculated in the coming days.

Nevertheless, Wirz has scored a complete success: the recently deceased Hellmuth Karasek's Literary criticism of the Ikea catalog wins gold in the "Household Products" category with a high score of 7.27. The campaign polarized within the jury, but found many convinced fans due to its extraordinary and self-ironic approach. This was somewhat surprising in that - with the exception of the Horizont colleague - no one could do anything with the name Karasek and almost everyone had to read the (German) text subtitled. However, another fact shows that the campaign is also well received outside the DACH region: the review of the Ikea catalog was awarded this year's top mark by the eleven-member pre-selection jury, which was made up exclusively of non-German-speaking experts. Shortlist chosen. Out of all 4000 campaigns submitted, of course.

Publicis can also be pleased about the highest award. The UBS retirement planning campaignwhich uncomfortably but humorously reminds you that you're getting old faster than you'd like and realize, wins gold in the "Consumer Services (Press, Film & Outdoor)" category. All three films achieved a strong average score of six or more in the individual rankings - the spot "Scroll" was particularly celebrated by the jury and awarded an outstanding score of 7.19.

Last but not least, Leo Burnett Switzerland can also look forward to another golden Epica pyramid in the trophy cabinet (20142 x gold, 1 x bronze). With the campaign implemented for the selfie camera Samsung NX Mini "Self-PortraitsIn the category "Household Products (Personal Electronics & Devices)", the agency won against, among others, the "Household Products (Personal Electronics & Devices)" category, which was created in Italy and launched in June. presented on Werbewoche.ch Samsung NX3000 campaign through.

Franz & René adjusts relativity formula

Energy Day is the national day dedicated to raising awareness about energy conservation. This year’s key message: Act smart, save energy. Franz & René have expressed this using a modified version of the formula from the theory of relativity: E = A+++.

For the sixth year in a row, Franz & René designs and implements a comprehensive, multi-channel communication program to raise awareness among the Swiss population.

The program included: a digital competition platform "Bingo+", a TV spot, advertisements, posters, a digital campaign, competition scratch cards, POS material, promotions in 10 stations and a kit with visual elements for the partners of Energyday 15.

The concept focuses on the mascot of Energie Schweiz, which grows shaggy hair and a mustache "à la Einstein" as soon as it implements exemplary measures in connection with energy saving.

Media houses remain silent for victims in Paris

On Monday at 12:00 p.m., a minute of silence will be observed across Europe in memory of those who died in the Paris attacks. Swiss media outlets are also participating in the observance.

On the "Radio Südostschweiz" station of the Somedia publishing house - to which Werbewoche also belongs - there is silence for 20 seconds on Monday afternoon for this reason. This is therefore not a technical error.

The invitation to tender is carried out in accordance with public procurement regulations. The contract will be awarded to the bidder who best meets the criteria defined by OFCOM. The criteria are based on the new Ordinance on Internet Domains. (SDA)

Last but not least: Christmas imperfect

Rain instead of snow, chaos instead of harmony: Ikea also celebrates the imperfect in this year's Christmas ad.

Instead of snow on Christmas Day, it's pouring with rain. The children scribble all over the new tablecloths, the grandmother criticizes the roast, the grandfather snores away on the sofa and the dog eats the presents in the meantime. The Ikea commercial presents the kind of cozy chaos that you are lucky enough to find at most real Christmas parties. The down-to-earth Christmas commercial was produced for the furniture store by Hamburg agency Thjnk. (sis)

When words fail for sheer happiness

For the Grand Casino Bern’s fall campaign, Republica replaced words with emojis. The campaign, titled «I’m at a loss for words,» uses visual playfulness to evoke emotions—especially when jackpot winners are left speechless.

The focus of the 2015 fall campaign is on the various jackpots at the Grand Casino Bern with the aim of raising awareness of them. For the central idea, those responsible at Republica put themselves in the shoes of a visitor who has just hit a jackpot. He or she is breathless, gasps, and can only stammer or perhaps mutter a few words.

In a nutshell: "He is at a loss for words". And this, of all things, in a situation in which the lucky winner wants to share the good news with his loved ones as quickly as possible. Fortunately, the smartphone is quickly at hand; via Whatsapp, SMS, Messenger or other short message platforms, the winner doesn't have to struggle for words, but says it in victory with the help of emojis.

This is the result of the Republica campaign: short, emotional winning stories, told with cheerful emojis. These adorn posters, advertisements and online measures, among other things. Likewise, as part of the campaign Radio spots produced.
