SFLB for Do it + Garden Migros: Anniversary campaign created

SFLB has launched a campaign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Do it + Garden Migros. To draw attention to the promotions, the creative team produced a TV commercial. The accompanying birthday tune was recorded using a hammer, a drill, and other DIY tools.

Exactly 50 years ago, Switzerland's first do-it-yourself specialist store opened on Flurstrasse in Zurich. To celebrate this and draw people's attention to the 50th anniversary, the creative minds at SFLB launched an anniversary campaign. Under the slogan "We celebrate, you benefit", Do it + Garden Migros is offering its customers numerous 50 percent anniversary offers and a nail competition with prizes over the next four weeks. This will be announced in a TV commercial, in store announcements and at the POS. The central element is the birthday tune, which has been specially recorded with a hammer, drill, lawnmower and many other items from the specialist store range.

Star TV and Werbewoche: New TV magazine launched

"Die Werbewoche" is the name of the new TV magazine, which is now being broadcast on Star TV at weekends and provides background information and making-ofs for various Swiss commercials. In the first edition, the current advertiser of the year - Frank Bodin - presents the "Love Life" campaign of Aids-Prevention Switzerland.

A commercial usually only lasts 20 or 30 seconds. It has to tell its story in this short time. However, months of work go into making such a commercial. What does it take for a concept to become an idea and for it to finally find its way to the audience in the form of a commercial?
Star TV takes a look behind the scenes of advertising in a new magazine. In collaboration with Werbewoche, Star TV is offering Swiss creatives a new platform with the broadcasting vehicle "Die Werbewoche". Each weekend, the "commercials of the week" are presented in moderated reports. There are also "making-of" reports on current productions, sideways glances at the international scene, reviews of history and interviews with studio guests.
In the first program, the stylistic development of the spots for the
Swiss AIDS prevention analyzed. Frank Bodin, the creative director of Euro RSCG, explains in the studio why he changed the concept from "Stop Aids" to "Love Life" and provides insights into the background to the campaign idea. "Die Werbewoche" will be launched on Saturday, September 26. The new magazine will be broadcast regularly on Saturday and Sunday at 09.35 and 18.25.

The editorial teams at 20 minutes and Le Matin Bleu, together with Impressum Tamedia and Edipresse, have called for a consultation to be held before any layoffs take place. Management has now announced that it will accept comments from the editorial staff through the end of the week.

The editorial teams of the two free newspapers in French-speaking Switzerland and the Impressum trade union have called on Tamedia and Edipresse to carry out a consultation before making redundancies, as required by the CCT (CLA for the French-speaking Swiss press) and the Swiss Code of Obligations. On Tuesday, the management announced that it would be accepting comments from the editorial team until the end of the week. It is hoped that the proposals will be seriously considered, according to a communiqué issued on Tuesday. "This means that the decision on the redundancies can also be called into question again, even if the people who are to be made redundant have already been informed by the management."

Spillmann/Felser/Leo Burnett uses TV commercials for Swiss Life to show how many different twists and turns life can take. The commercials always begin with exactly the same scene, but take different turns. On his way to work in the morning, the protagonist bumps into a woman he doesn't know. Two commercials now show how this encounter can continue in different ways. Both end with the final sentence: "Whatever turns your life takes: Swiss Life's flexible pension provision adapts." The nationwide campaign starts on September 21. The commercial is supplemented by advertisements.

Last but not least: Advertise until the police arrive

The recipe for an effective guerrilla campaign: take a few beautiful women, dress them up in sexy lingerie and have them march down a red carpet on Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse. Little effort, huge attention - at least until the police arrive.

Just don't be stingy with the charms. This or something similar could be used to describe the latest guerrilla campaign that caused a stir on Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse last Saturday. Eight young women in sexy lingerie walked down a specially laid out red carpet and handed out flyers for a new online erotic store. The police were not long in coming and put a stop to the goings-on. Although the initiator of the advertising campaign, Purple Erotic owner Pascal Minder, had to pay a fine of several hundred francs for the intermezzo, the overall benefits are likely to far outweigh the costs. Of course, the police are also aware of this. The fine is disproportionate to the advertising attention, according to media manager Marco Cortesi in an interview with the free newspaper 20 Minuten. The onlookers seemed to like it. Some shouted "hot ass", others filmed the show run with their cameras. The viral effect was probably guaranteed.

Ruf Lanz: Welti-Furrer also trains for federal councillors

Ruf Lanz drew inspiration from the Federal Council elections. The latest ad campaign for Welti-Furrer features one of the moving company’s trucks parked in front of the Federal Palace.

Ruf Lanz was inspired by the Federal Council elections for the latest ad for Welti-Furrer. The subject shows a truck of the moving company parked in front of the Federal Palace. The message: Welti-Furrer is the right choice for anyone moving house in the near future. As can be read on the poster, even great statesmen have used the services of the long-established company - Winston Churchill, for example, on his historic visit to Zurich in 1946. And what was right for Churchill could only be cheap for Burkhalter, the advertisers believe. The two-page advertisement appeared in the NZZ am Sonntag.
