Rüesch-Druck takes over the finishing business from Dfmedia

Rüesch-Druck, based in Rheineck, Eastern Switzerland, is taking over the Hibis 104 UV varnishing machine, including personnel, from Dfmedia, based in Flawil, as of January 1, 2011.

With the acquisition of a modern 10-color printing press at the beginning of 2010, the Flawil-based Dfmedia Group not only made the largest investment in its 100-year history, but also embarked on a comprehensive strategy adjustment. This provides for an expansion of the print sector and the magazine publishing business. At the same time, the newspaper division will focus on the "Wiler Zeitung" daily newspaper as of January 1, 2011 and the finishing business will be sold.
Rüesch-Druck, which has already made a name for itself in this segment over the past six years, is taking over the finishing business, including the rotary UV and flexo screen printing machine HIBIS from Dfmedia, as of January 1, 2011.
In addition to its existing system for UV varnishing, the company underlined its "print effect" strategy back in 2008 by investing in a laminating system for the 70×100 segment. With the acquisition of dfmedia's finishing business, the Rheineck-based company, which has been in existence since 1976, is strengthening its position in the Swiss market for print finishing.
