Contexta: "More in" campaign extended to SME customers

Bern-based advertising agency Contexta has created a new TV and online campaign for Swisscom business customers. A TV spot, which is part of the "Mehr drin" campaign, is designed to highlight the added value for SME customers: more service, more advice, more performance.

For once, the scene is not the Swisscom TV box, but a router and a fast Internet line in an SME company. An amazing inner life is revealed to the viewer: the fearless firewall brigade moves out at the touch of a button to install the update. In the same way, the Business Service Team and the KMU+ Centers in the Swisscom stores are there for the companies if there is a fire somewhere, according to the advertisers.

Just how much more there is in it for customers can also be seen on the web portal on Swisscom.ch/kmu. Four cinematic use cases illustrate the services offered by Swisscom SME. The new website for SMEs is accompanied and launched by a comprehensive online campaign. Banners are used on Agefi.com, Kmu-magazin.ch, Lematin.ch, Moneyhouse.ch, Nzz Netz, Renovero.ch, Ticinonews.ch and tio.ch.

"Wetten dass...": SRF reviews cooperation

After Thomas Gottschalk announced his departure from "Wetten dass...", Swiss television is considering whether it wants to continue with the international co-production with ZDF and ORF.

They found out about Gottschalk's intentions on Saturday when he commented on the show, Manuela Käch, spokesperson for Swiss Radio and Television (SRF), told the news agency SDA on Monday. The situation will be looked at, reconsidered and reviewed, she confirmed a report by Blick. Discussions will now be sought with the German colleagues. Everything is still "very open", Käch continued. Head of Entertainment Christoph Gebel will certainly be involved in the discussions and decisions. In the end, however, a management decision will probably be made.

Gottschalk has hosted the German-Austrian-Swiss co-production since the fall of 1987, together with Michelle Hunziker for the past few months. On Saturday, he announced that he would be stepping down at the end of the year. The family show was the brainchild of Frank Elstner, who also hosted it from 1981 until the handover to Gottschalk.

Last but not least: a heart and a "plastic soul"

It’s not just florists who benefit from Valentine’s Day. The most romantic day of the year is a goldmine for the entire PR machine. Toy manufacturer Mattel skillfully capitalized on this, announcing the official reunion of Barbie and Ken on Monday. Touching, but coldly calculated.

Exactly seven years ago, on Valentine's Day in 2004, the longtime dream couple made headlines in the media with their separation. Even the Mirror reported on the "doll drama". Barbie had run off with the Australian surfer Blaine.

The reunion, which was made public on Monday, had been prepared with passion for weeks, with various Websites, Facebook, Youtube and Twitter. Ken kept surprising his beloved with romantic messages in which he assured her that she was the only "doll" for him. Barbie finally said "yes", changed her status on her Facebook profile - with more than 1.5 million fans, by the way - to "in a relationship" and is once again one heart and one "plastic soul" with her Ken. Absurd and ingenious at the same time. And how enviable are the copywriters who create such heartwarming stories like those of Barbie and Ken are allowed to write!
