Serranetga sums up the advantages of car insurance

To promote TCS auto insurance, Serranetga has launched an interdisciplinary advertising campaign. The campaign aims to capture all the benefits of TCS auto insurance in a single word.

The two keywords "car" and "insurance" serve as brackets and are filled with the various benefits of TCS car insurance. So "car insurance" became the new "A u t o verkehrsrechtsschutzfahrtrainingökorabattprämienreduktioninklusive sicherheitspaketversicherung." The idea was implemented as a text solution in the form of print ads, posters, flyers and banner ads - including special formats. In addition, the campaign featured a very fast-talking radio spot recorded by a voiceover artist specializing in fast-talking.

A giveaway was developed to go with the idea: the TCS multifunction car tool. The first 3,000 people who requested a quote were entitled to it.

Tipp-Ex: The bear is back

The interactive Tipp-Ex campaign "A hunter shoots a bear" was launched in fall 2010. Now the campaign is entering a new round.

The occasion for the new edition is the anniversary of the two protagonists getting to know each other. The bear and the hunter celebrate getting to know each other with a cake. But the harmonious party atmosphere is interrupted. A meteorite appears in the sky and threatens to end the birthday party prematurely. To prevent this, only the user can help. They can influence the course of the story. By entering a year, the user decides which year the two will travel to.

According to the company Bic, which owns the Tipp-Ex brand, the website will be advertised in four countries. According to Horizont.net, Buzzman in Paris, led by founder Georges Mohammed-Cherif, is once again responsible for the creation. The video clips were produced by Les Télécréateurs and directed by Adrien Armanet. Les 84 was on board for the web production.

There is now also a corresponding page on Facebook. It already has over 32,500 fans.

London: Bus advertising to "cure" gays banned

The Christian fundamentalist group Core Issues Trust wanted to advertise the «cure for homosexuality» on double-decker buses in London. The London public transit authority has halted the advertising campaign.

Core Issues Trust campaigns for homosexuals to change their orientation. According to the SDA, the billboards would have read: "Not gay! Post gay, ex-gay and proud. Get over it!" This advertising was to be used on buses on five routes and was a reaction to the previous campaign of the London gay rights movement. This ran under the slogan "Some people are gay - Get over it!" and had been placed on around 1,000 London buses.

London Mayor Boris Johnson, who is running for re-election on May 3, stopped the campaign, according to SDA. He said: "London is one of the most tolerant cities in the world and is intolerant only of intolerance". The British Advertising Standards Authority is said to have previously approved the campaign.

In Flagranti: From cone to ball

Hauert has replaced the fertilizer cone for balcony plants with a ball containing additional trace nutrients. In Flagranti accompanied the relaunch from the naming to the TV campaign.

Boutiq has created a completely computer-animated squirrel for this purpose. With the slogan on the packaging: "New formula - new shape": Hauert wants to keep existing customers happy. But the company is also pursuing other goals with the launch: New, especially young customers in cities are to be addressed. This is because urban gardening and balcony garden maintenance is a current trend among them, the agency explained in a press release on Friday. For the new urban gardeners, the Hauertkugel is the perfect product: you bury it at the start of the season and can forget about fertilizing.

The product for balcony gardeners is advertised with TV commercials. The campaign is rounded off with online and POS measures. The hero of the commercial is a squirrel, because these friendly animals tend to bury and forget nut-shaped nutrients. The squirrel was created entirely on the computer by Boutiq.

Trade association takes to the field against shopping tourism

On Friday, the Swiss Trade Association SGV launched a nationwide campaign against cross-border shopping tourism. Despite the weak euro, the Swiss should shop in their own country, as this ultimately benefits them too, according to the SGV.

With advertisements in daily newspapers, billboards at traffic junctions and shopping bags with the campaign slogan "Yes to Switzerland - I shop here", the SGV intends to spend CHF 250,000 over the next three weeks to promote Switzerland as a business location. To this end, the SGV, together with cantonal trade associations and industry associations, is using the familiar lamentations about the threat to training and jobs posed by shopping tourism. In addition, the SGV also sees the "Swiss system" as a whole under threat.

However, the campaign is to be driven primarily by small and medium-sized enterprises in Switzerland themselves. "We are providing the arguments and the material, but the SMEs have to run the actual campaign themselves," explains SGV Director Hans-Ulrich Bigler to the SDA news agency. The companies have to place the advertising posters in their businesses and sales outlets and convince their customers of the campaign's message. To this end, the SIA is making the ready-made advertisements and posters available to download from its website. (sda)

SFLB: Even retailers ordered Gecko Emmentaler

With the launch of the Gecko Emmental on April 1, Spillmann/Felser/Leo Burnett and Emmentaler Switzerland didn't just pull the wool over Switzerland's eyes. But this story isn't over yet.

Four retailers who wanted to include the Gecko Emmental in their range proved that the campaign was not dismissed as an April Fool's joke by everyone. Or all those who booked a gecko safari with Emmental Tourism. Even in the Arab part of the world, many were looking forward to the exotic cheese from Switzerland too soon - even the news channel Al Jazeera wrote a report on Gecko technology. This is what the SFLB agency writes in a press release.

100,000 viral spot clicks, 300 Facebook posts and 50 media releases later, more than a thousand interested people visited the Emmentaler stand on Bärenplatz in Bern on April 1 to taste the world premiere for themselves.

The Gecko Emmental was launched at the end of March. According to the TV commercial, a viral film, advertisements and the press release, it is even more harmonious. Together with the ALP research institute, it was discovered that the cows are stressed by the flies buzzing around them, which has a negative impact on milk quality. This problem was solved quite simply: one gecko on each cow and the flies are eaten, the cows are de-stressed, the milk is even more harmonious and the cheese is even better.

Responsible at Emmentaler Switzerland: Franziska Borer (Executive Board), Christoph Stadelmann (Head of Marketing/Communications), Sandra Fahrni, Claudia Meyer (Marketing/Communications Switzerland). Vresponsible for Spillmann/Felser/Leo Burnett: Peter Brönnimann (Executive Creative Director), Barbara Hutter, Niels Schäfer, Diana Rossi, Simon Staub (Creation), Pam Hügli, Tobias Schoen, Ivana Giannakis (Consulting), Suzana Kovacevic (Art Buying). Production: Plan B.

Google with 61 percent more profit - plans for a stock split

In the first quarter, the internet company Google posted a profit of $2.9 billion. That is 61 percent more than in the same period last year.

Google's revenue rose by 24 percent to 10.6 billion dollars. Most of the revenue came from advertising in the search engine environment. Google has managed to achieve such an increase in profits even though the company has invested in new products and employees. Google had another great quarter, co-founder and group CEO Larry Page said Thursday at the company's headquarters in Mountain View, California, according to SDA. The big bets on the Android mobile operating system, the Chrome browser or the Youtube video platform had paid off, he said.

Page and his partner Sergej Brin presented their plans for a stock split at the same time as the interim results: The stock currently stands at a good $650. According to SDA, shareholders will therefore receive one non-voting share for each share. The advantage is that in the future, for example, bonus payments to employees or payments for acquisitions can be made using these non-voting shares. The power in the company will not shift as a result. The plan for the share split has already been approved by the Board of Directors.
