Nexum: "The chame grille"

The Nexum agency has developed a comprehensive campaign website for the Coop barbecue campaign. The tagline «Das chame grille!» doesn’t just refer to products you can grill.

Coop wants to emphasize the experience, integrate the right product range into summer stories and provide its customers with recipes and practical barbecue tips. The campaign will be accompanied by discount and promotional offers and will be widely advertised across various channels. One core element is a new campaign site, which was conceived, designed and implemented by Nexum.

The campaign site, which is currently prominently advertised on the homepage at Coop.ch, offers online visitors a wealth of content and opportunities to get involved, thus creating a comprehensive world of experience around the topic of barbecuing, as the agency writes in a press release on Tuesday. The site offers recipe ideas that can be displayed according to categories such as dips, side dishes or desserts, a platform for exchanging users' own barbecue tips with an associated competition and prize draw, as well as the new Coop Grill Magazine with many themed specials such as vegetarian barbecue ideas. The Coop products in the barbecue category are embedded in the editorial content of the campaign page. For example, Coop gives online visitors weekly wine tips to accompany the recommended dishes. The corresponding wines can be ordered directly via the linked website coopathome.ch. The campaign-related product labels can be found both on Coop's communication materials and on the product packaging at the POS.

The Nexum agency, with offices in Cologne (headquarters) and Basel, employs more than 100 permanent staff and supports both medium-sized companies and corporations. Its clients include BMW, Coop Switzerland, DIS, Fifa, Intersnack, Lufthansa World Shop, Metro, Otto, Penny, Sony, Telefónica Germany and Vaillant.

Frontwork receives "Ethics in Business" seal of approval

The «Ethics in Business» Economic Initiative Guild has admitted Frontwork as a new member. It has awarded the agency its seal of approval for ethical conduct in business.

Sustainable action is essential for an SME these days, says Fabio Vareni, CEO of Frontwork. His company meets the special requirements in terms of ethical business practices. This was established by the University of St. Gallen as part of its assessment.

In order to receive the seal of approval, all participants undergo a standardized survey conducted by the University of St. Gallen. They answer questions on six aspects of corporate responsibility: corporate values and leadership, value-oriented HR work, commitment to the social environment, environmental protection, responsibility in the supply chain and product responsibility. If the companies pass, they are admitted to the Guild. A reassessment takes place every three years. Members of the Guild use the seal of approval to communicate their convictions to the outside world.

Acting responsibly
"Ethics in Business" supports medium-sized companies in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland that want to act fairly, responsibly and sustainably and thus shape and reshape the business world as a whole. The mentor of the business initiative is Ulrich Wickert. With his commitment, he wants to support medium-sized companies in taking on more social and ecological responsibility. Swisscom: Test and support center for mobile apps

Swisscom IT Services has launched a testing and support center for providers of business-critical mobile apps, such as mobile banking or apps with payment functions. This enables providers to protect themselves from reputational and financial risks related to quality and support.

App developers cannot guarantee that the app will actually work with all customers' devices, according to a Swisscom press release on Tuesday. In addition, support hotlines are often unable to provide users with satisfactory advice in the event of problems with apps on their devices. As a provider of mobile devices, Swisscom puts all devices and platform versions through their paces before they are launched on the market. Based on this know-how and the corresponding test infrastructures, mobile app providers can have their applications tested by the Swisscom Mobile App Test Center.

In contrast to traditional testing, testing is not only carried out before an app release goes live. Problems often only arise when the end customer wants to use the existing app with their new smartphone or with a new platform version. The Swisscom Mobile Apps Test Center therefore also checks the interaction between the app and devices before launching new devices or versions. Swisscom IT Services combines the test center service with a service desk for this purpose, the press release explains further. The service spectrum ranges from technical 3rd level support to a complete mobile app hotline for end customers.

Wunderman: Mailing from the future for Microsoft

«Built for the future. Ready now.» Microsoft is promoting its cloud computing offerings worldwide with this tagline and the accompanying campaign. Wunderman rolled out this international campaign for Microsoft Switzerland and created a direct mail piece tailored to the Swiss market.

Over 2,000 of the most important IT decision-makers in Switzerland received mail from the future. Contents: The May 2015 issue of Bilanz, on the cover of which the name of the mailing recipient announced that the lucky recipient had been voted IT Manager of the Year 2015. On opening it, recipients then came across the lead article, in which they could read about their own success story, which they will owe to the decision to introduce future-oriented cloud solutions in their company. Of course, it wasn't just a case of would have, could have and would have. Those addressed were able to request a consultation via various response channels and thus lay the foundation for the award, which was prophylactically awarded to them in the mailing.

Wirz Corporate publishes study on strategy communication

In early 2012, Wirz Corporate conducted a study in collaboration with the University of St. Gallen on the state of internal strategy communication in large Swiss companies.

According to the press release, 27 heads of communications were surveyed on the organization, processes, communications mix and control in the communication and anchoring of corporate strategies. The study shows that the importance of strategy communication is rated as "very high", while the company's own "maturity" in handling it is only rated as "average". Achim Wirtz, Head of Brand and Communication Consulting at Wirz Corporate, argues that internal communication processes should be more closely monitored to ensure that strategy does not sink into the fog from the second management level onward. Only if those responsible for communications are involved in the closest decision-making body will the communication and communicability of the strategy be optimally integrated into the overall strategy development process at an early stage.

Overall, the study provides an overview of the status of internal strategy communication and identifies areas for action where there is a need for optimization. The study can be ordered free of charge from Wirz Corporate by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. Achim Wirtz was responsible for conducting the study on behalf of Wirz Corporate.
