"Schweiz am Wochenende" remains the most widely read newspaper in German-speaking Switzerland

With over one million readers, "Schweiz am Wochenende" remains the clear number one newspaper in German-speaking Switzerland. The latest MACH-Basic figures from WEMF also confirm the strong regional roots and reader loyalty of CH Media's daily newspapers.

CH Media's weekend edition "Schweiz am Wochenende" reaches 1.03 million readers in German-speaking Switzerland. The newspaper thus maintains its top position and remains the most widely read weekly publication in German-speaking Switzerland. Almost one in five people in German-speaking Switzerland regularly turn to this weekend newspaper, which is published on Saturdays and impresses with its wide reach. This is confirmed by the latest results of WEMF's MACH-Basic study.

In addition to the success of "Schweiz am Wochenende", CH Media's daily newspapers also scored well. With 320,000 readers, "Nordwestschweiz" secured second place among the German-language daily newspapers. With the "Luzerner Zeitung" (240,000) and the "St. Galler Tagblatt" (238,000), two further CH Media publications are in the top 7. Reach in the regions of north-western, central and eastern Switzerland remains stable compared to the previous year.

Michael Wanner, CEO of CH Media, is satisfied: "The consistently high reach of our print titles illustrates the continued importance of our publications as an essential source of information on national and regional topics. We are particularly pleased with the strong roots and reader loyalty of our daily newspapers in the various regions of German-speaking Switzerland, which are holding their own even in a declining market overall."
