Eyeloveyou: On a treasure hunt with the color key
For the 25th anniversary of Basel's Colour Key leisure map, Eyeloveyou developed a treasure hunt with all the associated advertising measures - from classic to guerrilla.
On June 1, the whole of Basel went on a treasure hunt. 20 treasures were hidden in Basel and Baselland and had to be hunted for. The radio quiz on Basilisk offered tips on the hiding places. The tips were also published on www.die-schatzsuche.ch. The Basel advertising agency staged this campaign with a broad communication campaign aimed at the target group.
A slightly different key visual
The measures for the treasure hunt focused on the anniversary robot. Eyeloveyou had already introduced the robot as a mascot in the design of the anniversary logo. Now it was the robot that hid the treasures. Lovingly staged on an iconic film poster with a retro look, the robot appeared as an oversized figure wading through the Rhine with its treasure chest. In addition to posters, numerous advertising measures such as advertisements, posters, eBoards, PR measures and a guerrilla campaign were implemented.

Mobile-first for treasure hunters
The website was optimized for mobile devices specifically for the purpose of the treasure hunt. Thanks to a very simple user interface, participants could easily track their desired prize and receive the latest clues at any time. At the same time, the treasure hunt could be followed live on Basilisk Webradio.

The robot on the move
In the week before the treasure hunt, the robot from the key visual was out and about in person as part of a guerrilla campaign: mysterious traces were left throughout the catchment area in search of suitable hiding places. And wherever he went, he also left a "business card" in the form of the Internet address The-treasure-hunt.ch.
