TCS Travel Protection Campaign: The Turrinis Are Back
The Turrini family is back: Team Farner is launching a cross-media summer campaign for TCS Travel Protection—ranging from posters to social media ads to a weather billboard.

Just in time for the vacation season, the Turrini family is back on Swiss billboards and screens. The TCS Travel Protection campaign, conceived and executed by Farner and Team Farner, once again shows in a charming way all the things that can go wrong on vacation—and how TCS Travel Protection is there to help in those moments.
Head of the Family on the Banana Boat
This year’s highlight is Turrini, the head of the family, who has managed to climb onto a banana boat. The question the campaign leaves open is: How long can he hold on? The ad picks up on the series’ central theme—lighthearted mishaps that turn everyday vacation life upside down—and thus conveys the added value of TCS travel insurance in an entertaining way.
«Switzerland Today»: CH Media Launches New National News Portal
With «Schweiz heute,» CH Media is launching a new digital news platform for German-speaking Switzerland. The portal brings together the journalistic strength of the entire editorial network of its daily newspapers, which comprises approximately 350 journalists. With this launch, CH Media is deliberately leveraging its strong national editorial team and the close collaboration between its national and regional editorial offices.
«Today, quality journalism requires both a national perspective and a regional focus. With the new portal, we’re combining these two elements even more closely and creating a new and attractive digital offering for all of Switzerland,» says CH Media CEO Michael Wanner.
New Subscription Model: More Features for the Same Price
At the same time, CH Media is introducing a new digital subscription model. Anyone who currently has a subscription to a CH Media daily newspaper will, in the future, have access to the digital content of all CH Media daily newspapers—at the same price. «With the GA model, our readers can explore the entire universe of our newspaper titles across all of German-speaking Switzerland,» says Thomas Wegmann, Head of Publishing at CH Media. In doing so, the company is substantially increasing the value for existing subscribers.
«Our readers are increasingly interested in topics that extend far beyond their own region. With this new model, we’re offering them easy and appealing access to all relevant content from CH Media: national, international, and regional,» says Patrik Müller, editor-in-chief of CH Media.
In addition, CH Media has made targeted investments in its editorial department. Over the past few months, the domestic news desk has been reorganized: Lea Hartmann and Michael Graber are jointly taking over as editors-in-chief. Anna Wanner and Doris Kleck are focusing on new journalistic assignments. The editorial team has been further strengthened with the addition of Fabian Schäfer from the «NZZ» and Céline Zahno from «Blick.».
Since this spring, users have also been able to gift up to ten articles per month and easily share content with their friends and family.
«Schweiz heute» is now available at schweizheute.ch and available as an app. CH Media is optimizing the new platform as it goes live and gradually developing it into a central digital news platform for Switzerland.

TCS Travel Protection Campaign: Fully Integrated Communication
The new TCS Travel Protection campaign relies on a broad channel strategy. Numerous measures work together in a well-thought-out way: digital out-of-home and traditional out-of-home, video placements and social ads as part of a digital video strategy, as well as welcome ads on 20 Minuten and Blick. The animated Turrinis thus make an impact across all channels.
Help from Person to Person
In addition to the Turrinis, the campaign also highlights the case managers and doctors at the TCS operations center. They are tasked with clearly distinguishing TCS Travel Protection—as a professional emergency response organization—from other travel insurance providers. A «Meteo» billboard airing before and after the weather forecast on SRF, RTS, and RSI brings this message to life—as does a comprehensive direct mail campaign that makes the services tangible for five target groups. The overarching message that ties all these initiatives together is: “Always there when you need us.”
