Ewz is in quiz fever
The electricity company of the city of Zurich has been using quizzes as a communication tool for some time now. A heat quiz is currently running on the streets of Zurich to raise awareness of Ewz's climate-friendly range.
For Forbes Top Ten Marketer Neil Patel Quizzes are one of the most underestimated tools in marketing. As Ewz, the electricity utility of the city of Zurich, often has to communicate complex topics, the company evaluated suitable tools and found what it was looking for three years ago with Brame.io. For several years now, Ewz has been encouraging the public to take part in quizzes and test their knowledge - and voluntarily engage with the brand for a few minutes.
The ongoing heat quiz is currently raising awareness among the general public about how Ewz Zurich can provide climate-friendly heating and thus contribute to achieving the city of Zurich's net-zero targets. The campaign is also using posters for the first time, accompanied by streetcar posters, a digital campaign and social media.
Ewz also uses the quiz tool in sponsoring to impart knowledge: for example, the climate quiz at the ZSC home games. The HR quiz is used for employee recruitment at trade fairs and provides a different approach to inclusion and diversity. Internally, the emergency number quiz is a fun way to teach the right behavior when things get serious. The seven corporate governance principles are communicated in a playful way in the "My contribution" quiz.
Performance is also a goal. In the B2B sector, for example, the data center quiz is used to generate leads. The energy quiz, which is specifically geared towards efficiency, brings energy consulting services closer. Biodiversity is the driver for the encyclopaedic fish quiz. Interaction and participation with very different target groups can thus be measured in a variety of ways.
