ChatGPT hype boosts Swiss AI company aiaibot

2023 was a good year for Switzerland’s market leaders in artificial intelligence for customer service: With 40 new customers, a 50 percent increase in revenue, and one million AI interactions, aiaibot turned a profit. Now the team is setting its sights abroad.

The reason for the rapid growth of aiaibot is unsurprisingly the ChatGPT hype, which has now also reached customer service. Aiaibot is "ready for the onslaught" with the newly launched GPT feature, as the company writes. The team is now looking abroad: in 2024, aiaibot plans to expand into Germany and the UK with generative AI and industry-specific chatbots.

The boom in artificial intelligence has clearly boosted the Swiss market leader for AI in customer service. 40 new customers have given the aiaibot platform an additional boost. Well-known companies and organizations, including cantons, cities and municipalities, banks, insurance companies, hospitals, energy suppliers and customers from the tourism and e-commerce sectors, are currently using the aiaibot platform. They benefit from specific industry and customer service expertise as well as significant efficiency gains through the use of the chatbot solution.

"Interest in automated service experiences continues to grow," explains Tom Buser, CEO of aiaibot: "Chatbots are getting smarter and smarter with Generative AI and can therefore also answer complex customer questions. The open aiaibot platform can be seamlessly integrated with existing business applications and is productive in just a few weeks."

Growth abroad

In the new year, aiaibot plans to venture abroad: "Germany and the UK are our next target markets," explains Tom Buser. The aiaibot CEO cites market demand, existing customers in the two markets and forecast market growth of over 23% (source: Global Chatbot Market - Size, Growth, Opportunities and Competitive Analysis, 2021 - 2028 (Markets N Research, 2022)) as reasons for this. "Chatbots are the fastest growing communication medium. People appreciate its benefits such as 24-hour availability, simplicity and speed. For many organizations, automation in customer service offers great potential for a modern customer experience and high process efficiency."

Rapid development

Tom Buser attributes the doubling of the customer base within three years and the strong growth of 50% in the past year to the benefits of the aiaibot platform: "Our customers particularly appreciate the simplicity and performance of aiaibot as well as our industry expertise. The platform uses Generative AI and has an integrated workflow engine that allows complex customer processes to be mapped across various business applications."

The aiaibot platform is most commonly used for interactive customer dialogs and self-service in customer service and IT service desks. With Generative AI, free-text customer requests can be answered comprehensively in combination with the seamless integration of third-party systems. "This year, aiaibot customers can look forward to many innovations. Our goal is to constantly align the open low-code SaaS platform for chatbots and conversational AI with technological possibilities and customer needs in order to generate sustainable benefits for companies and added value for customers," says Tom Buser, looking ahead.
