Mediapulse wants the injunction lifted immediately

Mediapulse is pushing to be allowed to publish the TV viewing data it has collected. Due to a super-provisional order issued by the Nidwalden High Court, this is currently not possible. Mediapulse is now calling for the immediate lifting of the order.

This emerged from a statement issued by Mediapulse last week. The injunction was issued by the private broadcaster 3+. Mediapulse is not allowed to publish any TV user data until the injunction is lifted. The new figures have been under lock and key since the change in the data collection system at the beginning of the year.

In its statement, the Mediapulse Foundation points out that the Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC) judged the measurement system to be legally compliant in May. This means that there is no longer any reason to prevent the publication of user data. However, several television channels, led by 3+, described the measurement method as flawed. They therefore objected to the publication of the data collected in this way. (SDA)

The agency also implements applications for guests worldwide, from a modular mailing system consisting of brochures, offer cards and mailing envelopes to the design of the user interface for room control via iPad.

CR Basel raises awareness surprisingly

On behalf of the Department of Health of the Canton of Basel-Stadt, the CR Basel agency is raising awareness about mental illness using a surprising technique: as the viewer’s angle changes, so does the facial expression of the people depicted in the images.

After the Basel awareness campaign for the promotion of mental health in 2011 and 2012, which attracted attention far beyond the country's borders, the Department of Health of the Canton of Basel-Stadt is once again putting this socially significant topic in the public eye this year - with a surprising novelty that makes viewers take a closer look in a clever way: Thanks to lenticular technology, the subjects, once again conceived and realized by CR Basel, use only one portrait image each to draw the changeable face of a person who at first glance appears to be laughing and - depending on the angle of view - shows a somber expression when looked at a second time.

The conclusion "Look instead of look away - mental illnesses have many faces" directly calls for a closer look at the people in one's personal environment. The aim is to strengthen the sense of mutual responsibility among the population in order to prevent mental illness. After all, social support is an important factor in reducing the risk of mental illness. Appreciation, encouragement, advice, a sympathetic ear and understanding, as well as joint activities or practical support when it comes to seeking professional help, help people cope better with stress and strain.

The eye-catching posters, which interact with passers-by, have been found throughout the city of Basel since June 2013. In addition, there are postcards with the same subjects and the most important address for further information on the topic on the page  Allgutebasel.ch

Kevin Roberts in Interlaken: "Don't be so comfortable!"

On Friday, Saatchi & Saatchi CEO Kevin Roberts was a guest at the Swiss Economic Forum in Interlaken. He met not only with *Werbewoche* but also with *10 vor 10*.

In the SRF report, the CEO Worldwide of Saatchi & Saatchi finds not only words of praise for Switzerland. Although the country is a "wonderful example for the world" that "does a lot very right," it lacks creativity and innovation. "Wake up! Pick up the pace, don't be so comfortable, don't be so satisfied!" He said he expects Switzerland to come up with ideas like Swatch did back in the day - when it was launched, the watch brand was as ingenious as Apple's products were later. The following SRF report shows how he assesses Swiss tourism and what impressions he takes away from Interlaken:

In addition, Kevin Roberts can also be seen in a longer interview on Srf.ch on topics such as the latest trends in advertising and shitstorms:

With the Advertising Week Roberts talked about the job of an advertiser and its challenges. You can read the interview in the upcoming print issue 11/2013.
