Reactions to Jogi Löw's "trial-run scandal" were mixed. But the best one came from Lukas Podolski.

The scene caused laughter and horror around the globe. And proved once again that football really is the most important minor matter in the world. German national coach Jogi Löw stood out - once again - for behavior more suited to his own four walls than to an audience of millions in the triple digits (26.5 million people were watching in Germany alone).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYso-ZUwEZ0

The scene made such high waves that, for example. 20minuten.ch felt compelled to consult a psychotherapist. We learn, "Smelling the smell of his private parts is not something disgusting to him at that moment. Instead, there is something constant and relieving about it." An interview worth reading!

Meanwhile, the scene was removed from the network (Snickers for lefties) packed into the right context:

Once again, however, Lukas Podolski gave the best response to the drama. The full-blooded striker plays a role in the current German European Championship squad primarily off the pitch. But an important one: He clarifies what needs to be clarified. Press relations next level. (hae)

ARCN: Viamala fibbed to Canada

Breathtaking landscapes, adventurous salmon fishing and good-natured lumberjacks - during his trip to Canada, comedian Rolf Schmid aroused wanderlust and wanderlust with his vacation reports. But what Grisons native would voluntarily leave his homeland?

"We noticed that if you post a photo of a parking lot in Iceland online, the post or tweet is liked and shared like there's no tomorrow. Conversely, beautiful landscape pictures from home are met with passive amazement at best," says Wacyl Azzouz, co-founder of ARCN, explaining the approach behind the campaign. Without further ado, the home country was transported to Canada. The aim is to give the Viamala vacation region the attention it deserves due to its beauty: "As a child of the beautiful Rhine Forest, the whole project was not just a matter of the head, but also of the heart. And with Viamala Tourism, we had the ideal partner," adds Azzouz. The "Rolf in Canada" idea has been well received. According to Viamala Tourism, one in ten German-Swiss people followed Rolf Schmid's trip to Canada on Facebook.

Last but not least: The World's Biggest Asshole

Even if you're the «biggest jerk in the world,» you can still do good. That's what The Martin Agency in New York teaches us.

wba

In an online film lasting just under three minutes, the agency tells the story of Coleman F. Sweeney, who has spent his life shining through ignorance, rude behavior, contempt and meanness - and at the very end finally reconciles with society. More or less.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeVLxcekEsw

Organ donation campaigns are primarily intended to encourage people to consider the issue. Convinced non-donors are hard to win over, but people who haven't thought about it yet might. The provocative campaign "The World's Biggest Asshole" succeeds in doing just that: less than a week has passed and the film is already cracking the million mark on YouTube. There are controversial discussions in the comments. Someone writes, for example, that it is a proven fact that emergency physicians are less ambitious when resuscitating a patient who is a donor - probably one of the sillier conspiracy theories floating around on the Internet. Nevertheless: Good, let's talk about it. (hae)

Last but not least: Nudged

With the campaign for the N-TV app, Havas Worldwide Düsseldorf has hit the bull's eye.

merkel3

Can you remember a good campaign for an app? As of now, yes. Because there's probably no better way to show how close you are to politics thanks to the app. Namely, really close. With emphasis. So the question of whether the App of the news channel is really so exceptionally good, almost to the point of triviality. (hae)

Last but not least: wrapped around the finger

At the airport, Samsonite turned passengers into more or less voluntary advertising media.

samsung

Do you actually know why people have their suitcases wrapped in foil at the airport? Apparently there are several reasons for this. 1) The suitcases are protected from thieves during check-in. 2) People notice when the suitcase has been opened. 3) The film keeps the suitcase together if it is damaged or too full. 4) The film prevents "stowaways" - prohibited items such as drugs or weapons - from being smuggled into the suitcase unnoticed. 5) The film protects the suitcase from damage during check-in.

Publicis Conseil and Samsonite offered the service free of charge. The catch: the inscription "I wish I had a Samsonite" was included free of charge. Because with a really good suitcase, the filming wouldn't even be necessary. It's win-win, but certainly not quite as win-win as the case film would have us believe. It's humiliating, but what else can you do when you get something for free? And the result looks somehow charming after all. (hae)

Foundry: Grill Sheriff with new appearance

Grill Sheriff is kicking off the grilling season with a new brand identity. The goal was to share the company’s expertise and passion for grilling with a broad audience in an inspiring way. The agency Foundry Berlin | Zurich was commissioned to carry out this project.

HowTo-Fisch

In close cooperation with the founders Daniela and Marcel Meier, Foundry has developed a completely new appearance that gets to the heart of the company: For BBQ Experts. Passion and expertise for the topic of barbecueing form the basis of this core. Foundry has recognized this and implemented it in a targeted manner.

HowTo-Gasgrill

The authentic appearance of the Grill Sheriff on its own Youtube channel deserves special mention. The aim was to make the expertise of the popular barbecue courses as well as the size of the over 1,000 square meters of Grill Sheriff City, this competence center for barbecue and enjoyment, visually tangible. In collaboration with director Lukas Wälli, a series of entertaining how-to videos was created, which stand for enthusiasm, competence and knowledge transfer. From barbecue fans for barbecue fans. So founder Marcel Meier and his team didn't miss the opportunity to step in front of the camera themselves to explain the perfect grilling technique to their fans themselves with a pinch of humor.

The grill is indeed everywhere. The new website has been online since June. More than 700 selected products can be ordered, assembled right away or even repaired. High-end grills and less expensive models, all from well-known brands, share clear categories in the user-friendly web store. Barbecue courses from greenhorn to barbecue sheriff, delicacies and barbecue accessories of all kinds makes barbecue hearts beat faster.

Also new are the quarterly magazine "The Flaming Star" and the blog. "The Flaming Star" enjoys great popularity with a circulation of 20,000 copies each. On these platforms, the owners publish news about their popular barbecue courses, present the latest recipe ideas and new acquisitions in the product range, and report on their day-to-day business and the latest barbecue trends from around the world.

W7_Basiskampagne_3

Bern is one attraction richer: With Welle 7 at Bern Postparc station, the Migros Aare cooperative opened an urban concept center on August 8 that combines workspace, enjoyment, education and shopping in a novel way at a central location. Republica also staged Welle 7 with a concise, multimedia basic campaign as a stopover for enjoyment, business, education and shopping. For this purpose, the Bern-based agency breathed fresh life and content into the location pin familiar from online maps, in line with the Welle 7 offerings.

In addition, there is currently an eye-catching launch campaign that uses headlines to navigate passers-by in the public space around Bern station in the direction of Welle 7. For this concentrated advertising campaign, not only Switzerland's first full "station branding" was realized in close cooperation with APG, but also a wealth of 100 individual, location-specific posters. The package of measures was rounded off by the organization and promotion of the week-long opening event "Welle Sieben Tage" ("Wave Seven Days"), which focused on discovery and experience, in cooperation with the Evenjo event agency.

Susanne Wille is the first woman to receive the Media Star Award

More than 600 guests were in attendance when Susanne Wille was honored with the 3rd Media Star Award at the 85th Media Night (formerly the Press & Media Ball). This makes Wille the first woman to receive this award.

The Swiss journalist and presenter was honored in particular for her professional and commendable performance as a presenter during the 2015 Federal Council elections. In addition, the Communication Excellence Award was presented for the first time last Saturday. This went to long-time Raiffeisen media spokesman Franz Würth.

At 6:15 p.m. sharp, the doors of the Kongresshaus opened and the guests, including numerous Swiss celebrities, walked down the golden carpet. At the end of the long carpet stood the organizers Karina Berger and Thomas Russenberger (Russen&Berger) and greeted all guests personally. After an extensive champagne aperitif in the entrance hall of the Congress Center, accompanied by the well-known pianist Patricia Seidl, the new moderation duo Dominique Rinderknecht / Marco Fritsche opened the media night and skillfully led through the varied evening program, which was peppered with lots of music and dance. The musical highlight was the duet of the two exceptional artists Pepe Lienhard and Marc Sway. "Also in the third year of the media night, the new concept is very well received by the guests. I have seen only happy faces. That makes me and my team very happy, of course. The ball is important for the industry and contributes to good conversations and relationships," says Karina Berger from Russen&Berger.

Tagesschau boss honors Susanne Wille with his laudation

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the third Media Star Award. Long-time SRF journalist and presenter Susanne Wille was honored, making her the first woman to receive this award. Urs Leuthard, head of SRF's daily news program, paid special tribute to the new award winner. He particularly emphasized her professionalism, tenacity and determination. The 42-year-old from Aargau entered the stage to great applause. She was visibly moved when she accepted the "Media Star" from jury president Christoph Richterich and thanked Urs Leuthard for his laudatory speech.

Susanne Wille dedicated the prize to her late grandmother, among others, and emphasized in her acceptance speech how important it is for journalists to be able to do their work without any state pressure, as is the case in Switzerland. On her numerous reportages, however, she had also had to experience the opposite. Freedom of the press and information is an important asset that must be defended.

The winner was chosen by the "Medienstar" jury consisting of president Christoph Richterich (Richterich & Partner), Franca Siegfried (board member Zürcher Pressverein), Dominique Morel (president Harbour Club), Roger Baur (managing director IAB Switzerland), Christian Wick (president Zürcher PR-Gesellschaft), Catherine Purgly (managing director leading swiss agencies), Frank Bodin (president ADC) and Thomas Russenberger (Russen&Berger).

First Communication Excellence Award for long-standing Raiffeisen media spokesperson

In addition to the Medienstar Award, the Communication Excellence Award was presented for the first time this year. While the Medienstar Awards primarily relate to achievements in the past year, the new Communication Excellence Award honors longstanding and sustained service in the media and communications industry. The first award of its kind went to Franz Würth, who was already honored for his work last year by Swiss Journalist. The long-time media spokesman for the Raiffeisen Group was visibly surprised when his boss Patrik Gisel, CEO of the Raiffeisen Group, took to the stage, gave his laudatory speech and praised the deserving media spokesman in the highest terms for his many years of successful work at Switzerland's third-largest banking group.

Part of the ball proceeds for Reporters Without Borders

Once again this year, part of the proceeds from the ball will go to the internationally active organization Reporters Without Borders. "In times of political and economic unrest, it is all the more important that journalists are able to do their work independently and without any influence from the state or business. This is the basis for the free formation of the population's opinion. Unfortunately, in many countries today it is almost impossible for media professionals to do their work without repression. That is why we are very grateful to the organizers and, of course, to the guests for the donation," says Josefa Haas, a member of Reporters Without Borders.

Ruf Lanz: Consumers are above CEOs

The consumer magazine K-Tipp is the largest subscription magazine in Switzerland. For 25 years, K-Tipp has provided clear, critical and competent information and stands for independent product tests and valuable consumer tips.

Ruf Lanz, the creative agency, emerged as the test winner for communications in the anniversary year. The campaign kicks off with a print campaign that uses an amazing inversion to show that with the K-Tip, power lies with the consumer. In organizational charts, the nationally known CEOs of Migros, Swisscom, Swiss Post, UBS and SBB are for once to be found at the bottom, while above them are consumers in all their diversity: from floor layers to yoga instructors to lawyers. Since the beginning of June, the subjects have been on full-page display in newspapers and magazines. Further trenchant anniversary appearances will follow in late summer.

For this purpose, the football field division was painted in the typical style of Piet Mondrian. The Dutch master (1872-1944) is considered one of the most important representatives of constructivism as well as concrete art. The subject is used on advertisements, posters and online.
