Patrick Theus becomes Head of Wilmaa

Patrick Theus, Head of Business Development at Goldbach Audience, will assume overall operational responsibility for the Wilmaa web TV platform effective September 1, 2014; the Goldbach Group holds a majority stake in Wilmaa.

In the five years in which Patrick Theus was responsible for the business development of Goldbach Audience, the digital marketing expert (Dipl. Werbeleiter SW) was instrumental in building and expanding Goldbach Audience into the leading digital specialist for multi-screen advertising, according to a statement. He led the implementation of successful Goldbach Audience products such as the Goldbach Video Network and the Swiss Audience Network, won numerous publisher pitches for the company and shaped important strategic approaches such as Goldbach Audience's central holistic approach "Audience First".

As Head of Wilmaa, he will take over the responsibilities of Susanne Eisenegger, who has been Head of Product at Wilmaa since February 2013 and has now decided to take on a new challenge. For Thomas Gabathuler, Wilmaa Founder, the appointment of Patrick Theus is a stroke of luck: "Patrick Theus has both technical and strategic know-how, is excellently networked in the industry and is also a proven marketing expert. With him, we have the right man to successfully develop our Wilmaa further."

On the Goldbach Audience side, Stefan Wagner, Head of Partner Relation Management since 2010, will take over Patrick Theus' responsibilities as Head of Partner and Product Management as of September 1, 2014. Stefan Wagner joined Adlink Internet Media, as Goldbach Audience was known before the takeover by the Goldbach Group, as Manager Site Relations immediately after completing his studies (lic. iur. University of Zurich 2007).

Alexander Horrolt, Managing Director of Goldbach Audience, comments on the change from Patrick Theus to Stefan Wagner with one laughing and one crying eye: "Of course we are reluctant to lose Patrick Theus with his knowledge and experience. But we are happy that our employees have such great potential that we were able to arrange the succession internally naturally. Stefan Wagner has strongly shaped our Partner Relation Management in recent years and we are convinced that he is the right person to succeed Patrick Theus as Head of Partner and Product Management with overall responsibility for Publisher and Product Management."

Dachcom: Campaign for Lake Zurich ferry

On the Lake Zurich ferry between Horgen and Meilen, the hustle and bustle of the mainland stays behind. Dachcom Dialog highlights this in a campaign that includes both posters and radio spots.

From September, humorous slogans on posters in the catchment area of the Lake Zurich ferry Horgen-Meilen will attract the attention of motorists. The posters point out how much faster and less stressful it is to reach the other side of the lake by ferry. The campaign is supported by no less amusing radio spots in which a passenger reports on his incredible experiences on the Lake Zurich ferry.

Last but not least: optimists live longer

This funny commercial for Science World was deemed too violent for Canadian television. Judge for yourself.

Science World is a museum in the Canadian city of Vancouver. Permanent and changing interactive exhibitions are on display. A kind of Technorama in Canadian. In the past, the institution has increasingly attracted attention with provocative advertising. A campaign called "Now you know" has been running for seven years and attempts to package exciting scientific findings in an entertaining way. The latest prank by the Rethink agency aims to illustrate that optimists feel less pain. This fact may not be particularly surprising, but it seems to be scientifically verifiable. The result is a refreshing TV commercial that has been removed from the program by the Canadian TV Advertising Standards Authority. banished was. Too violent. By the way, laughter is healthy. And that has also been scientifically proven. (hae)

New name for Valora's press distribution business

The press distribution business sold by Valora in May is given a new name. The buyer, Presse-Vertriebs-Gesellschaft (PVG), is renaming the newspaper and magazine business "7 Days Media Services".

The buyer, Thomas Kirschner, majority shareholder of PVG, wants to bring a breath of fresh air, as detailed in a press release issued on Tuesday. The company ensures press deliveries to around 5,000 sales outlets and around 10,000 delivery points in Switzerland and Luxembourg. Valora divested the press distribution activities of its Services division in Switzerland and Luxembourg, as well as the logistics business for third-party customers in Switzerland, as declining sales of newspapers and magazines put pressure on press distribution results.

Last year, the sold divisions generated net sales of CHF 272 million. The operating result amounted to around ten million francs. (SDA)

Publicis: UBS helps slackers and prevaricators

In UBS's new wealth management campaign, Publicis shows that knowing your own little weaknesses is a strength.

Passivity, impulsiveness and impatience are normal human weaknesses. But when it comes to investing, they quickly become dangerous psychological traps. Publicis took an in-depth look at behavioral finance to put UBS's new wealth management mandate campaign on a strategic footing that is relevant to the target group. Publicis' creative execution conveys that knowing your little weaknesses is a strength. The subjects show successful people who confidently stand by their emotional qualities and know that psychological barriers can negatively influence them. That's why they delegate their wealth management to UBS Wealth Management.

Wirz: Image campaign for the Tages-Anzeiger newspaper

In a new image campaign for the Tages-Anzeiger, real headlines show different perspectives. The campaign was created by Wirz Werbung.

For more than a century, the Tages-Anzeiger has shaped the Swiss media landscape and today reaches around half a million readers every day - and that's just in print. In addition, Switzerland's most subscribed daily newspaper is published online, as an app, and delves into a variety of topics on the web in more than ten blogs. To further strengthen the positioning of the Tages-Anzeiger as a cross-channel source of information, Wirz was given the task of creating an image campaign. For this, the agency used real Tages-Anzeiger headlines. They represent which articles the people depicted have read, and in the subjects they allow the most diverse points of view to collide. In this way, the campaign shows the power that the Tages-Anzeiger has as an opinion-forming medium.

"Because credibility is essential for us, an authentic campaign was important to us. With snapshots of the city and topics that actually occupy Zurichers, we succeeded in the best possible way. It's also great that the real Tages-Anzeiger titles show our range of topics," says Marcel Tappeiner, publishing director of Tages-Anzeiger/Sonntagszeitung. Because the news portal is deeply rooted in Zurich, the shoot also took place there. The reportage-like pictures were taken completely without models, but spontaneously with passers-by in the streets of the city.

Advico Y&R: Relaunch for Migipedia

Advico Y&R has carried out a comprehensive relaunch of Migipedia, Migros' customer platform.

When Migipedia was launched in 2010, the first iPads were just coming onto the market and social media was still a fairly exotic medium. Today, four years later, the Internet has gone mobile and operating social media channels is part of everyday life for almost everyone. So it's time to make the visionary Migipedia.ch project, which already anticipated some developments, fit for the future.

20140811_migipedia_home_ipa

Migros' customer platform, the only one of its kind in the world, has 60,000 registered users, who have made more than 55,000 comments and 33,000 ratings on Migros products since its launch. Numerous votes and contributions of ideas have led to 60 product launches and optimizations that have found their way from the customers' minds to the Migros shelves thanks to Migipedia. A good example that Migipedia is not a PR project, but a serious and unique business tool.
Responsive, transparent in content, inviting to participate.

201408123_migipedia_home_ip

In December 2013, Advico Y&R received the mandate for the renewal and communicative support of Migipedia. Together with the Migros in-house team and developers from Lithium, Liip, Smartive and Stefan Sicher, Migipedia was completely overhauled and has been presented in a new look since August 14. The new Migipedia is of course responsive, and the content treasure of Migipedia has also been brought to the fore. Already on the start page you are welcomed with open arms: Here you can find out at first glance how you can get involved and what is currently going on on the website. This is intended to motivate an even broader spectrum of users to get involved and participate in the common cause - making Migros better with their own opinions.

Jung / M3: B2B campaign for the Observer

Axel Springer Switzerland commissioned its partner agencies, Jung Kommunikation and M3, to develop a communications strategy for *Der Beobachter* and to implement measures that would position *Der Beobachter* as Switzerland’s leading consumer magazine in the advertising market.

The result is a campaign that reflects the core values of the Observer, presents the facts in black and white, and conveys that the Observer is valuably different - even when it comes to advertising opportunities.

The campaign comprises various measures on different channels - tailored to the relevant target groups media and creative agencies as well as existing and potential customers. Potential customers were made aware that they would be missed with a letter and bookmark. Existing customers received a handwritten card expressing appreciation. At the agencies, the so-called Lady Easypeasy was used.

Agentur_Mailing_160x240_DE_

The lady in her 60s look was eye-catcher and ambassador in equal measure. Seemingly contradictory to the Observer image, which embodies credibility, relevance and uniqueness, she stood her ground and drew attention to the fact that it is quite easy - or Easypeasy - to choose the Observer.

The unifying message across all measures, "Observer - valuable different, even in advertising," found expression in an appropriate look and feel, based on the basic idea of unmistakable black and white. The campaign was launched in June. Further measures will follow.

Maxomedia: Branding for Technical College Bern

The «Lehrwerkstätte Bern» has become the «Technische Fachschule Bern.» The new logo, created by Maxomedia, visually conveys the cohesion among all four departments.

The "Lehrwerkstätte Bern" has constantly evolved since 1886 due to technological, economic and social change. The "Lehrwerkstätte Bern" eventually became the "Technische Fachschule Bern". However, the identity of the technical school has always been shaped by knowledge, quality, innovation - and especially by its people, who work closely and respectfully together with different skills and dreams. They feel a sense of belonging and connection through the values of their educational institution, across all disciplines. This "we-feeling" can now also be felt on a visual level with the new CI/CD "One for all".

The new logo is made up of all four parts of the Bern School of Technology: Electronics-Informatics, Interior Design, Mechanical Engineering and Metal Technology. The distinctive outer line creates a unity. The combination of the initials "T" and "F" is created.

Maxomedia has also launched the Website of the Technical College Bern underwent a complete redesign, implemented the entire lettering (house lettering, letterheads, format templates, vehicle lettering) and created matching brochures, flyers and T-shirts.
