By Beat FritschThe party week was kicked off by the people from Goldbach-Media, who show their generous and active side almost exactly every two months. An invitation from Küsnacht flutters into the house every two months. But the logos of IP Multimedia, Hitradio Z, Active Agent, Suchtreffer and other labels can also be seen at other events - for example at the Idée-VfW, advertising clubs and other organizations, which always welcome sponsors with open arms. The strategists at Goldbach in Küsnacht have once again tried out something new - and created it: the Mediarena, a communications forum for electronic offline and online media. Many external speakers and panelists ensured that the accusation of a self-promotional event did not even arise. The visitor frequency confirmed the organizers. There still seems to be a marked need for information via electronic media. Especially with regard to the online sector and its cross-media application possibilities.
During two days, a lot of intellectual food was swallowed in order to finally indulge in tangible culinary and liquid pleasures on Thursday evening. After the work was done, one could relax on a beautiful boat trip and let oneself be carried through the tides of Lake Zurich; including the first aperitif. The transfer from Küsnacht to the shipyard took place by boat.
This hall, which had already been tried and tested as a theater, had been converted into a veritable party temple. Event manager Christian Bonnot had done a great job. Where usually welding machines burn and mechanics sweat, one encountered a party area in the noblest style. The box must have cost a good deal of money! Blue carpets, dignified seating and tables with first and second tier like in a theater. The whole thing was topped off with a stage setup. Oversized lampshades hung overhead, and the lighting system would have done credit to a large-venue disco.
Not only the guests, but also the catering was delivered across the lake. The "Lake Side Casino Zürichhorn" had its first guest appearance outside its own location - and was able to convince to a certain extent. The buffet for immediate service for fast-moving and ravenous contemporaries was not missing, nor was the cultivated "service à table" with all kinds of delicacies for the culinary somewhat more patient.
You could listen to dignified jazz, enjoy yourself in special seating areas and lounges, there was simply enough space for everyone. In three words - a real pleasure!
There was news from the personnel side: Andy Wild is leaving Swiss. The former Swissair advertising pilot, who was hired for the same position at Swiss after the grounding and collapse of the "national symbol", has definitely had enough of the airline business. He will now be head of communications at electricity provider Axpo. News also from 3M advertising manager Martin Vogel. He was given the title "Head of Corporate Communication, Marketing & Advertising". From which we conclude that he has been promoted at least two stories up (without going through the roof).
There was a concentrated load of beauty and beauties to be seen at the Credit Suisse Prix Bolero. Not only on the catwalk, but also in the audience, which was examined more closely at the after-show parties. Although one scene was scathing in its verdict that there was a lot of suburban chic, the event was still enjoyed by almost everyone. The catwalk is now being held in the Saalsporthalle, as there was no longer enough space in the main station. With non-stop shows and exhibitions in the aisles and after-show events for all spectators. Also new: It was not Bolero regular host Kurt Aeschbacher, but the no less charming Mona Vetsch who led through the two shows.
At the eleventh edition of the Credit Suisse Prix Bolero, in addition to the annual award for Swiss newcomers, this year Italian designers had their say. The domestic competition was won by 22-year-old Larissa Kramer, who entered a collection in the new romantic style under her Larika label, spiced up with a rich touch of eroticism. The prize was endowed with 25,000 Swiss francs.
There was a novelty at the Bucherer Audience Award - pure e-voting. The spectators were able to vote for their favorites via SMS from the stands. The CHF 10,000 prize went to the young designer Aleksandra Wisniewska.
The EWZ substation in Selnau was also electrified on Friday. The people of St. Gallen are about to conquer Zurich. In Switzerland, a country of the press, the easiest way to do this is via a print product. Faces, the established nightlife guidebook from St.Gallen, is venturing into the Zurich scene with an editorial split, where two party magazines, Forecast and Kult, are already established. A bold move by Stefan Berger and Paddy Pierazzoli of Fairlane Consulting. And a well-used opportunity to redesign Faces, because they want to assert themselves against the established players.
The launch number has succeeded the makers. The new edition brought a lot of pretty pictures and a lot more text. Jürg Zentner (Zentner Kreativproduktion GmbH), co-founder of Kult at the time, and his equally cult-like partner Anka Wessely, who is responsible for the art direction, were responsible for this. Since reading is known to educate, we warmly recommend reading Faces even to partygoers.

was increasingly on the prowl last week. It was the anniversary of the inauguration of the Goldbach Center, which was honored with a communication forum and a big party. There was also a lot of beauty to be seen at the Credit Suisse Prix Bolero, where people gathered on the edge of the catwalk to judge the up-and-coming Swiss designers. And with Faces, another nightlife and party magazine is entering the market in Zurich - which was duly celebrated with great fanfare.
