New supplement to bring new luck

After the Sonntagsblick's magazine Sie + Er failed, the newspaper is trying to attract readers and advertisers with a new magazine.

Sonntagsblick has had a third section for around ten years. Two years ago, Ringier decided to turn the third section into a magazine. However, the magazine Sie + Er was unable to establish itself on the advertising market, which is why the new editor-in-chief Marc Walder pushed for a relaunch. Walder had the magazine completely redesigned. Now a new name, a new concept and the new graphic appearance should bring back the success that was lost with Sie + Er. The Sonntagsblick magazine should be closer to the reader and thus offer the advertising market an interesting environment. As Walder announced in an interview with the Swiss journalist, the new magazine will consist of three parts. The first part contains a lot of modern lifestyle. In the middle of the magazine there will be space for reports, portraits, interviews and portfolios. The last section is dedicated to culture, food and travel. No editorial changes have been announced for the third edition of Sonntagsblick.

Ecology and creativity in one go at the Antalis Paper Tour 2007

For the Swiss paper wholesaler Antalis, environmental protection is both a challenge and a commitment. In a railroad car specially converted for this purpose, Antalis Schweiz AG showcases its efforts in this area.

Paper wholesaler Antalis brings people interested in paper and its ecological production onto the tracks. On a journey in a short train consisting of three railroad carriages, which stops in various Swiss cities and offers presentations that start with sustainable forestry, cover topics such as paper production and climate-free printing or Switzerland as a paper production location, shed light on the jungle surrounding the terms FSC and PEFC, but also take apart buzzwords such as waste paper and recycled paper, guests can learn a variety of things about ecology in the form of specialist presentations.
In addition to ecology, creativity must not be neglected. The second carriage is dedicated exclusively to the use of creative paper in print communication. Finally, the bridge between ecology and creativity is bridged by the middle SBB carriage, where the best catering is provided. Finally, at the Cüplibar, Advertising Week offers all visitors what the name promises: a meeting place for chatting and toasting.

By the way: you don't need an SBB ticket for this creative, culinary and ecological journey through the world of paper. All you need to do is register at Papertour.ch. There you can also find out where and when the Antalis Papertour 2007 will be stopping off.

Last but not least: Will the TV channels soon be fighting over the babies?

According to an American study, 90 percent of children under the age of two and 40 percent of infants under the age of three months watch television regularly.

Scientists at the University of Washington have concluded in a new study that 90 percent of children under the age of two and 40 percent of infants under the age of three months regularly watch television, DVDs or videos. In an interview with Pressetext, the head of the International Central Institute for Youth and Educational Television said that proper television viewing at a young age can have more than just negative effects on development. There are studies that show that Sesame Street brings benefits for school performance later on. The perception of television already begins in the prenatal phase. For example, a baby can remember the melody of the soap that its mother regularly watched during pregnancy. However, other studies also come to the conclusion that too much TV consumption at a young age can lead to learning difficulties and concentration problems. Nevertheless, the latest study may have an impact on the television industry, because it looks like babies watch a lot of television. And those who watch a lot of television are of course an interesting customer segment that should not be underestimated despite their young age. After all, even babies can cry in the supermarket if they don't get the product they love from the TV commercials.
