Publicis advertises Maggi in retro style

Maggi's liquid classic is already an integral part of most Swiss households. That's why Publicis has opted for simple advertising with its new posters.
The best soups are eaten from an old pot. Following this motto, the creative minds at Publicis designed posters that couldn't be simpler or more free of innovation. Maggi liquid seasoning has been so successful since its creation in 1886 that, with or without advertising, it would be hard to imagine Swiss chuchichäschtli without it. So, according to a press release issued on Monday, the Zurich agency opted for a striking poster that showcases the bottle alone.
According to Publicis, the public is ordering the nostalgic poster like crazy.

Last but not least: Early check-in for Paris Hilton

Paris is in jail, and all bets are on: Who will snap the first photo of the hotel heiress in jail?

At the MTV Awards on Sunday, Paris Hilton claimed that she wanted to be an example for other young people. A few hours later, she was behind bars. To avoid the paparazzi, Paris Hilton checked into prison early and thus opened the hunting season for the media on the rare breed of prison princesses. Photographers have been loitering outside the prison for almost a week. Ever since it was announced that the party girl was going to jail, paprazzi agencies have been hatching plans to get a snapshot of her behind bars. Strict security measures have been put in place at the prison, including preventing cameras from being smuggled in, but the paparazzi are almost storming the building to catch a glimpse of the hotel heiress, as a picture of her could be worth 500,000 dollars.
The rich blonde gets her own room, she is allowed to watch TV and make phone calls, has her own room and will probably have to serve almost 20 days in prison instead of the prescribed 45. She should be treated like any other inmate in prison and learn her lesson. In this case, does that mean Tinkerbell wasn't allowed to go?

Newspapers gain circulation and advertising worldwide

According to a study by the World Association of Newspapers, newspapers worldwide saw an increase in circulation and advertising revenue last year. Unfortunately, Switzerland is not benefiting from the trend toward higher circulation.

Newspapers worldwide increased their circulation and advertising volume last year. They now reach a total circulation of half a billion copies. On average, 1.4 billion people pick up a daily newspaper every day. This is the result of a study by the World Association of Newspapers (WAN), which was presented on Monday. The study covers 232 countries. In these countries, the circulation of the 11,207 newspaper titles sold increased by 2.3 percent. If free daily newspapers are included, which account for 31.9 percent of circulation in Europe alone, the global circulation growth rate was as high as 4.61 percent. Unfortunately, Switzerland and Germany did not benefit from this trend: in 2006, circulation fell by 2.54 percent in Switzerland and by 2.1 percent in our northern neighbor. In Austria, on the other hand, circulation rose by 9.43 percent.
The global growth is reflected in advertising revenues, which increased by 3.77% year-on-year. This gives daily newspapers a market share of 29.6 percent.
Bulgaria recorded outstanding growth rates in the number of advertisements in 2006, increasing by a striking 71.9%. Other winners included Luxembourg (43%), Slovenia (20.96%), Belgium (19%) and Estonia (15.5%).

SFLB chooses the hero of nature for Bio Suisse

Under the claim "Bio Bud. Bring back the taste", Bio Suisse selects a "Hero of Nature" every month in collaboration with the advertising agency Spillmann/Felser/Leo Burnett.

Under the claim "Bio Bud. Bring back the taste", Bio Suisse, in collaboration with the advertising agency Spillmann/Felser/Leo Burnett, chooses a "Hero of Nature" every month. The aim is to highlight why Bud products have more flavor than other foods. Every month until the end of the year, Bio Suisse will feature a different Bud product in long-copy advertisements telling the story of what it was like to grow up on a Bud farm. The titles alone, such as "A slime monster wanted to devour me", show that life on a Bud farm is not always easy. The youngsters are attacked by snails, pecked apart by birds and have to do without a few things. However, according to the press release, it is precisely these experiences that give the Bud products their character. Because they have to go through so much to become so tasty, the Bud products' autobiographies are entitled: Heroes of Nature. An important aspect of the campaign is seasonality: a different hero is chosen each month, namely a Swiss Bud product that is currently ripe.
As an accompanying measure, a Bud caravan is traveling through Switzerland. In various Swiss cities, it introduces passers-by to the current hero of nature. At the same time, a seasonal calendar is distributed to passers-by, in which all the hero stories can be read. The hero campaign will also be on display at Bud farms with various advertising materials.
