Urban Gardening: Tibits supplies Oerlikon with vegetables
Urban gardening is booming in the city of Zurich. This is also true in the up-and-coming Zurich-Nord neighborhood, where Tibits is creating Oerlikon’s largest urban garden.
The vegetable garden is located directly in front of the vegetarian and vegan restaurant's new premises. "We wanted to build the largest urban garden in Oerlikon to sweeten the waiting time for all tibits fans until the official opening on June 3, 2016," says Daniel Frei, Managing Director and co-founder of Tibits. Together with the Zurich start-up "Gmüesgärtli", the vegetable garden was set up in a central location, right next to Sternen Oerlikon. From May 28 to June 2, vegetables, herbs and fruit can be harvested directly from the raised beds as you pass by.
