Tête à tête à la vaudoise
Simko is creating a human-centered brand image for Vaudoise Insurance
Simko creates a human image for Vaudoise InsuranceThe collapse of the financial markets and the low interest rates have left their mark on Vaudoise Insurance's balance sheet. The consolidated result for 2001 showed a drop of 19.2 percent to CHF 20.4 million. This also had consequences for advertising: at the start of the year, the all-lines insurer is less financially oriented, but more contemplative. Following the negative reports from the business world, commercial communication for financial service providers is increasingly focusing on emotional values again - as is the case with the Vaud insurance company. In February of last year, the company had Hermès Communications advertise its life insurance policies as an "investment with a guarantee". With an image campaign designed by the Simko agency, the insurance company now wants to emphasize its customer orientation with the core brand value of proximity.
Human values should give Vaudoise a new profile
In July, Pedro Simko's Geneva agency won over clients with its Vaudoise World concept, bringing the Lausanne insurance budget to the city of Calvin. The new image is intended to raise Vaudoise's profile through human values and thus set it apart from the competition in a saturated market environment. The creative team led by CD Olivier Girard has built the company its own visual world: In two commercials and on posters, people converse in a vaudoise-green colored environment. The soundtrack also moves in surreal realms, with the "conversation" between a man and a woman in the "Manoir" commercial more reminiscent of two dogs meeting than communication between grown-up people. "Understanding the content is irrelevant," says consultant Carine Haist, adding: "The only thing that matters to us is that people communicate and understand each other."
The image campaign will be supported from February with advertisements that continue the impression of the green Vaudoise world. Simone Keller
