Shape opens location in Zurich

As part of its European expansion, the Danish digital studio Shape has opened its first office outside Denmark in Zurich’s Seefeld district. The office is headed by Rasmus Nutzhorn, Shape Partner & Managing Director Switzerland.

Shape was founded in 2010 in Copenhagen and sees itself as part of an innovative community. The core competencies are the design of elegant and simple digital user interfaces, the development of apps and mobile solutions. The apps developed by Shape in these three years have been downloaded millions of times. The customer base includes companies such as Ebay, Lego, Mars, Nordisk, Novo Nordisk, Phonak, Telia or Vivino.

As part of its expansion, Shape has now opened its first location outside Denmark in Zurich. The reasons given for choosing Zurich are the innovative environment and its status as a technology location. Rasmus Nutzhorn: "Here in Zurich, so many things are right for us: the culture, the quality, the long-term partnerships, the networking in both the Swiss and international markets, and the opportunity to find excellent new team members." Currently, Shape already employs more than 30 people at both locations combined, and more are being sought on an ongoing basis. "Our decision in favor of the Zurich location has proven to be strategically spot on," Nutzhorn is convinced. "We find an excellent environment of innovative companies and personalities here, as well as the opportunity to drive expansion from here, Nutzhorn continues."

House of innovations

Already in Copenhagen, the agency shares space with several other innovative young companies. According to the statement, this promotes the exchange of ideas and creative thinking. In the meantime, a real "think tank" has emerged. In Zurich, Shape would also like to become part of and actively contribute to such a community. "I would like the Shape premises on Bellerivestrasse to become a meeting place for innovative people and startups in the future and to become a real ideas and think tank," Nutzhorn continues.
