Ogilvy: Mailing created for IBM

With a mailing campaign for IBM, Ogilvy & Mather brings together what belongs together.

For customers with large amounts of data that need to be accessible decentrally at any time, IBM offers a consulting service for individual cloud solutions. This allows data and workloads to be identified and customized cloud solutions to be developed. Ogilvy & Mather created and implemented a mailing on this topic, which was sent to CIOs (Chief Information Officers) of medium-sized companies, with 500 or more employees, throughout German-speaking Switzerland.

The mailing takes the central message in a simple way and dramatizes it in a tongue-in-cheek implementation: Just because something has room in something else, it doesn't make sense to store it in it. Or, to put it another way, just because there is room for a bottle of shower shampoo in a wine cooler doesn't mean it makes sense to keep it in there. The resolution came in an enclosed folder: Just because all your data and workloads have room in the cloud doesn't make them all suitable for it.

The highlight of the whole campaign is that IBM's customer consultants bring a bottle of wine, which sensibly belongs in the wine cooler, to the first consultation. This literally allows customers to experience the solution that makes sense for their workload requirements.
