With this issue, Werbewoche is taking a summer break. The next issue (Issue 26/27 2009) will be published on August 13. Until June 24, you can find the latest news from the worlds of marketing, advertising, and media daily on Werbewoche.ch. Then the site will also take a short break.

With this issue, Werbewoche says goodbye to the summer break. The next issue (issue 26/27 2009) will be published on August 13.
At Advertisingweek.ch you will find the latest news from marketing, advertising and media every day until June 24. Then there will be a short break there, too. From August 3, we'll be back online for you. By the way: Werbewoche has recently started tweeting. At Twitter.com/advertisingweek you will find references to current and in-depth articles from advertising, marketing and the communications industry. Follow us!
Media Trend Journal is also suffering from the current economic situation and we are forced to change the publication schedule. This year we will still publish two printed specials, namely Mach 2-2009 on 8.9.2009 and the much sought-after Trends 2010 issue on 15.12.2009. However, starting from this issue we will publish four to eight pages with topics from the Media Trend Journal in every other issue of Werbewoche. Competently written, with high information value. Integrated into Werbewoche, they will appear in the Media¬ Trend look. You will find them for the first time in the enclosed issue of Werbewoche, starting on page 28. This close cooperation with Media Trend Journal will further strengthen Werbewoche's media expertise.
The Media Trend Award ceremony will not take place in its usual form this year. The detailed results and the respective winners will appear in the Media Trend issue Mach 2-2009. As a little advance information, here are the top five in the two categories in alphabetical order. The best media providers in the judgment of the clients and agencies are: 20 Minuten (incl. online), Axel Springer Beobachter, NZZ/NZZ am Sonntag, NZZ Folio, Tages-Anzeiger incl. Newsnetz (online). The best media marketers in the judgment of clients and agencies are: Adlink, Admazing, IP Multimedia, Mediabox, Publisuisse.
In the first advertising week after the summer break, we would like to remind you of the wonderful vacation season before the creative work really starts again: To do this, we would like to compile advertising subjects from all over the world into a collage - and for this we need your help. It doesn't matter whether you are looking for relaxation in London or Beijing, on Sylt or in Locarno: Please take a picture of an advertising poster, a neon sign, a flyer or something similar at your vacation destination - preferably flashy and eye-catching, or even quite plain. You can also show something of the surroundings. Please mail your photo by August 6, indicating the country and place where the picture was taken, to Anne-Friederike Wilhelm ([email protected]). We wish all our readers a wonderful vacation season. Enjoy some carefree days!

Since August 2008, *Werbewoche* has been published with a completely new design. We deliberately moved away from the previous rigid issue structure and adopted a much more magazine-like format. The market response has been largely positive. Most of the criticism centered on the font size. We will address this, along with a few other layout adjustments, starting March 12. Another change concerns the publication schedule of Werbewoche.

Since August 2008, Werbewoche has been published in a completely new design. We deliberately dispensed with the previous rigid magazine structure and became considerably more magazine-like. The feedback from the market was largely positive. Most of the criticism was about the font size. We will be changing this from March 12 along with some other layout adjustments.
Another change concerns the publication frequency of Advertising Week. From issue 8 onwards, you will receive Advertising Week fortnightly. The next issue of Advertising Week will therefore be published on March 12.
Two reasons were decisive: the media usage behavior of our target group has changed. This applies not only to us, but to all print media - but not everyone has noticed it yet: more and more people are looking for the latest news online. In print, people want orientation and in-depth information. In order to keep this promise, however, sufficient editorial resources are needed. Statements such as "making a better newspaper with fewer people" are only true - if at all - if you have a very large editorial team. This is not the case for us; we have to concentrate our resources. This is the only way we can fulfill our claim of producing an advertising week that is surprising, provocative and critical. And all this according to journalistic criteria.
Secondly, the consequences of the economic crisis are hitting us hard. Our advertising sales have also slumped dramatically. The change to the new publication format will allow us to survive these difficult economic times.
In the new concept, the link between print and online will become even more important. We will therefore be coming up with a few surprises in the online area during the first half of the year.

In our August 26, 2004, issue, Reinhold Weber published a guest commentary titled «PR Nonsense Instead of Songs,» in which he lamented the quality of Swiss radio stations that broadcast popular music.

In our issue of August 26, 2004, Reinhold Weber had a guest commentary entitled "PR-Pflotsch statt Songs" published, in which he complained about the level of Swiss radio stations broadcasting underground music, and in Werbewoche of September 2, 2004, Peter Brun, program director of Radio 24, defended himself against his accusations. Reinhold Weber feels offended by Mr. Brun's choice of words and in particular by the title - an excerpt from the commentary. Werbewoche takes the view that the duel was conducted with pithy words on both sides and that there was no violation of legal norms. In particular, it emphasizes that there was no intention to offend Reinhold Weber in his professional honour and regrets that Reinhold Weber nevertheless feels hurt. The editors-in-chief
