Relevant brands, far-sighted visions, digital strategy - a company should position itself clearly in order to be of interest to job seekers in Switzerland as a potential employer. When choosing a new employer, 84% of Swiss people consider it essential that brands and products are relevant to consumers and competitive in the digital world. And 91% of interviewees want their employer to have an overarching vision and be aligned with values that they can identify with. These are the key findings of an online survey conducted by global brand consultancy Prophet on the topic of "What is particularly important to you when choosing a new employer?", which surveyed 250 adults in Switzerland in October.

Most Swiss employees attach particular importance to the digital competitiveness of companies. For example, 88% of those surveyed believe that their employer must have a clear digital strategy in order for their job to remain secure in the future. And 89 percent want their company to pursue a smart and visible business strategy in order to attract and retain rare top talent in the long term.

"Successful brands are inspiring for customers as well as employees - this includes standing for a purpose that the entire company believes in," says Zurich-based Prophet Partner Jan Döring, analyzing the results of the survey. A good example of this is Migros, one of the Swiss companies with the highest reputation, says Döring. "As a company, Migros lives its values consistently. The Swiss population can identify with the values they live by and they know that they can rely on Migros." The Migros brand is very relevant for many Swiss consumers and job seekers because the company fulfills a higher purpose through its activities: to live better every day.

At the beginning of November, global management consultancy Prophet published the results of the "Prophet Brand Relevance Index", the first brand ranking to assess brand relevance from a consumer perspective. Around 45,000 consumers in Germany, the USA, the UK and China were surveyed on over 250 brands.

Under the following link you will find the survey results from Switzerland on the topic "What is particularly important to you when choosing a new employer?" and an interview with Jan Döring on the relevance of the Migros brand.
