CRK accompanies introduction of corporate newsroom for Swissgrid
In early September, Swissgrid’s Corporate Newsroom became fully operational. With this move, the national grid operator is transitioning its content production and distribution to a role-based organizational structure. CRK supported the process.

A good year ago, under the leadership of Kaspar Haffner, Head of Content & Digital Communications at Swissgrid, the kick-off took place with a broad-based project team. In workshops, expectations, goals and self-image for the Swissgrid Newsroom were initially developed.
Based on this, employees from the Content & Digital Communications, Project Communications and Public Affairs departments developed the foundations for the newsroom in six work packages. They chose an agile and transparent approach in which the status of the work was accessible to everyone at all times.
The results were initially incorporated into a newsroom concept, from which a manual was then developed. This answers all the important questions about organization, roles and processes in the Swissgrid newsroom. The strategic topics were re-clustered in the topic house and linked to suit the target group.
Together with the editorial tool, the topic house forms the basis for systematic content planning and coordination. Topic managers take over the management of strategic topics and ensure both the inside-out and the outside-in perspective.
After a pilot operation launched in June following a nine-month development period, the corporate newsroom has now been launched as of the beginning of September 2023. The development and implementation of the Swissgrid newsroom was accompanied by Oliver Wimmer from CRK/Myty and newsroom specialist Marie-Christine Schindler from Mcschindler.com.
