Last but not least: Versteckis for Beginners
When kids hide half-heartedly, it’s time to say “Jöh.” A perfect opportunity for the advertising industry.
Object and person permanence is the cognitive ability to know that something continues to exist even when it has disappeared from view. This is all well and good, but it is not innate. Young children first have to learn this ability. That's why they think they can no longer be seen when they close their eyes or hide their head. Adults like it: the worse the camouflage, the cuter the child. The little hide-and-seek artists have long since conquered the Internet. Sites like Boredpanda.com collect photos of untraceable children and enchant readers with them. So it was only a matter of time before the phenomenon appeared in advertising. In a campaign, Y&R Brazil shows that Danone's Danette pudding tastes so good that you don't want to share it. It's better to make yourself invisible and enjoy it in peace. Certainly not pedagogically beyond all doubt. But it's cute. (hae)
