Zimmermann Communications launches campaign for the ZVV app

The ZVV app allows users to travel throughout Switzerland and check in easily—but many people are not yet aware of these features. Zimmermann Communications, in collaboration with the Zurich Transport Association and Konnex Media, developed a campaign to highlight the app’s key features.

The ZVV app is the practical companion for public transport in Zurich and throughout Switzerland. Whether from Zurich to Geneva or within the canton - the timetable function makes it easy to find connections and buy tickets directly. Those who prefer to travel spontaneously can use the check-in ticket: one swipe when boarding, another when alighting, and that's it.

Another advantage: existing travelcards are automatically credited when traveling outside the ZVV. This means that users only ever pay for the portion of the journey actually made.

Many people are not yet aware of these options. That's why a new campaign, developed by Zimmermann Communications together with ZVV and Konnex Media, is drawing attention to the most important functions. At the start, the focus is on "Travel throughout Switzerland" and the "Check-in ticket" - other topics will follow.

Design from within the product

In the design, a person opens the app and the story begins directly from the product. This makes it clear what benefits the app offers in everyday life. The campaign includes short videos for online and social media channels, posters, advertisements, hanging boxes and window stickers in streetcars and buses.

The campaign is complemented by publicity reports and contributions from influencers who show their journeys with the ZVV app across Switzerland.
