Thjnk Zurich develops Olympic campaign for Ochsner Sport

Thjnk Zurich developed Ochsner Sport’s overall brand presence for the Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina. The agency was responsible not only for the campaign but also for the central concept behind the Swiss Olympic Team Collection. Central to this is the narrative of the traces left behind by each winter sport.

The Winter Olympics start on February 6 in Milano Cortina. The Swiss delegation will be wearing the new Swiss Olympic Team Collection, equipped by Ochsner Sport. Thjnk Zurich is responsible for the visual appearance around the Winter Games - and in an unusually comprehensive way: The agency not only developed the campaign, but also the design basis for the entire collection.

Tracks as a connecting element

The starting point is an overarching narrative: tracks. They are the unifying element of all winter sports. Whether in the snow, on the piste or on ice, every movement is inscribed in the landscape. The tracks symbolize performance, precision and Olympic moments that have an impact beyond the competition.

This idea forms the basis for the design and content of the Swiss Olympic Team Collection. The characteristic lines of the various disciplines were used to develop a graphic pattern that runs through the entire collection. The idea is thus not only told, but also carried - and makes the collection itself the visual key visual of the Swiss Olympic appearance in Milano Cortina.

Glowing traces in nocturnal surroundings

The campaign also consistently follows this leitmotif and translates it into film. Because if you make it to the Olympic Games as an athlete, you have the opportunity to make yourself immortal. And to leave a mark that will shine forever. To this end, Swiss athletes were staged in night-time surroundings as they practiced their sport. Their movements create glowing tracks that run through the snow and ice. An image of permanence and lasting memories - far beyond the Games.

The skiers Loïc and Mélanie Meillard and Corinne Suter, freestyler Mathilde Gremaud, field hockey stars Nico Hischier and Timo Meier, European figure skating champion Lukas Britschgi, speed skater Livio Wenger and biathlete Lena Häcki-Gross will be staged.

The film is accompanied by the classic song "Bang Bang" - but not in the version by Nancy Sinatra, but in the Italian version by singer Paolo Mengoli to match the location.

The film will be shown on TV and in various online and social media formats. The campaign will be complemented by various POS measures. Ochsner Sport is a premium partner of the Swiss Olympic Team. The official Swiss Olympic Team Collection is available exclusively from Ochsner Sport.
