PAM stages Polestar on Zurich landmark
The PAM Advertising agency created a giant poster at Zurich’s Fraumünster for the Swedish automaker Polestar. With the humorous slogan «Not yet banned in Zurich,» the campaign pokes fun at the city’s restrictive automotive policies and attracted media attention.

For almost a month now, a Polestar megaposter has been prominently displayed at Zurich's Fraumünster next to the town hall. The motif shows the latest model from the Swedish car manufacturer, the Polestar 5, with the statement «Not yet banned in Zurich».
In the knowledge that automobility in the city of Zurich does not have an easy standing and that there is a tendency in Zurich's politics to govern by means of a ban, this advertisement takes aim at this fact with a humorous exaggeration.
Media attention
The advertisement promptly attracted media attention. A short report appeared on Tele Züri:

20 Minuten published an article, in which well-known politicians, among others, commented on the megaposter. The more than 100 reader comments showed that the advertisement was a talking point.
«Polestar uses current events with humor in its communication. With PAM, we have an agency that designs this intelligently and pointedly,» says Nadine Romero, Head of Marketing at Polestar Switzerland.
The car brand had already used political events for advertising purposes in the past, such as the cover advertisement in Weltwoche, where Polestar positioned itself as a stylish Tesla alternative.
