Christmas in HB
A new Christmas display at Zurich Central Station adds to the Advent spirit and delights people of all ages.

When the lights of the Christkindli Market were lit and cast a Christmas spell over the Wannerhalle in Zurich's main train station, visitors were particularly wide-eyed this year. With an impressive height of 17 meters and a diameter of six meters (and weighing 1800 kilos), a shower of lights in the form of a chandelier adorns the hall and the exit into the Shop Ville. In it, 25,000 lights - arranged in the shape of a helix - shine into the distance and spread a contemplative mood all the way to the tracks.
With these dimensions, the new eye-catcher in the HB, designed and produced by Aroma, is not only the largest chandelier in Europe, but also forms a sparkling dream team with the 15-meter-high Swarovski Christmas tree. The latter also likes to impress with numbers: Every year, the native fir tree from the Zurich city forest is given a radiant glittering dress of 7,000 crystalline ornaments by Aroma.
