Find the right training via chatbot
Gotomo incorporated the conversational commerce trend into a mobile campaign for Akad. The chatbot, developed specifically for the campaign, is based on machine learning technology and recognizes fragments of the user’s dialogue. For example, the bot can directly register the user for an information session.

Conversational commerce is also one of the main trends in 2017. This refers to the communication of information in an automated dialog. In other words, instead of clicking on elements on a graphical user interface, the customer interacts with a chatbot with artificial intelligence. This trend has now been taken up for the first time for a mobile advertising campaign.

The Swiss educational institution Akad has made use of this technology in a mobile marketing campaign and based the entire campaign concept on conversational commerce. The educational institute wants to inspire people to take part in further education and use a chatbot to advise them on the right course directly within the campaign.

The ChatBot developed specifically for the campaign is based on machine learning technology and recognizes the user's dialogue fragments. Based on this information, the bot can, for example, register the user directly for an information evening. If the customer has not found a suitable offer, the bot politely asks for an opt-in for the next newsletter. This is because its second task is to generate leads.
The campaign was designed and implemented by the Zurich agency Gotomo, which completely omitted the conventional landing page for this mobile campaign and replaced it with a ChatBot. To ensure that the ChatBot receives enough inquiries, the typical chat look is already conceptually incorporated into the advertising material. Several wittily formulated subjects give the viewer the impression of being chatted to by someone within the respective news platform. This guarantees a high level of attention.
