Medal as arm sling: BFU and Ruf Lanz raise awareness of sports accidents
The AAIB is also committed to accident prevention in sport: this literally comes to fruition in Ruf Lanz's new national campaign.
The Swiss Federal Accident Prevention Bureau (BFU) conducts research and provides advice to reduce the number of serious accidents in Switzerland. It has had a public mandate for this task since 1938.
In recent years, sport and exercise have become much more important to the population. The flip side of this actually positive coin: More serious accidents are happening.
That's why the BFU is staying on the ball here, too. And offers sound, easy-to-use prevention tips for all popular sports. To raise awareness, it is now launching a national campaign together with Ruf Lanz.
Athletes are shown with a medal around their neck. However, one arm is stuck in the medal ribbon in such a way that it becomes an arm sling. On the one hand, this symbolizes the risk of accidents in sports, and on the other, it conveys the message: "Accidents can endanger your sporting goals. Well, you can protect yourself against them with the tips on Bfu.ch."
The campaign will be rolled out with two motifs present online and offline in all parts of the country: on F4, F200 and F12 billboards, as well as video ads on YouTube, social media and owned media.
At the same time, the BFU anchors the campaign in institutionally organized sports. With concrete prevention recommendations, sports participants in selected sports are addressed directly in their training environment. To this end, targeted measures are implemented via sports associations.
