Young talents shoot Salt spots
Salt called on young people to shoot commercials with their cell phones. The winner has been chosen.
On Thursday at Becurious TV the winner of Salt's "Show Me Your Mobile Film" competition was announced. This competition, launched jointly by the two companies and unique in the Swiss cell phone scene, gave young talents the opportunity to express themselves artistically and to literally direct the realization of Salt's new Young spots. According to the specifications, the task was to shoot a clip "by young people, for young people" and to film everyday scenes with their own cell phones. Ten finalists each shot a ten-second spot.
The jury unanimously selected the spot by Fabrice Brisotto, a student at HEC Geneva, as the first-place winner. His film was convincing because of its dynamism, its thread and its humor. The eye for detail and the way in which the connection to mobile telephony was established also tipped the scales.

The spot will be shown in all Salt stores starting this week. An expanded selection will follow in the coming weeks, according to the release. Says Antoine Caffin, chief marketing officer: "These young talents have not only given us an insight into your daily lives and passions but have also proven how much mobile telephony is an integral part of your lives." And Sabine Kuszli, Director Brand & Marketing Communications, adds: "We were convinced from the start that it was possible to shoot a high-quality spot with a cell phone. The creative energy blew us away".
