Galaxus dives into its own sales data

Galaxus compares customers' purchasing behavior with factors such as place of residence, generation, and zodiac sign. The results raise questions that the online retailer is now posing to the public across 45 topics.

In a country where almost half of the population stores at Galaxus, you might think that purchasing behavior in the regions and communities is relatively homogeneous. But a closer look at the online retailer's data reveals surprising patterns and provides food for thought and questions at the same time.

Does data lie?

Or does the world have a sense of honest humor behind all its complex laws? For the new poster campaign, Galaxus used real order data in relation to place of residence, generation or star sign. The result was 45 subjects, each of which may sound like a joke at first glance, but shows exactly what the data reveals, right down to the decimal point.

The correlations are sometimes more meaningful, sometimes less. They would probably not quite stand up to a sociological study, but the questions are certainly enough to entertain and stimulate thought.

The campaign can be seen from August 18 in German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland in OOH, DOOH, display ads and social ads.
