Galaxus sings the praises of its own product diversity

In the run-up to the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, online retailer Galaxus is highlighting its wide range of products in its latest campaign. Five quirky music videos ensure there’s something for every musical taste—from Schlager to German electro to pseudo-metal.

Millions love it, others not so much: This May, musicians from all over Europe will once again represent their countries at the Eurovision Song Contest. In its own, typically ironic piece, the online retailer Galaxus is using this as an opportunity to sing the praises of its product lineup—all from the depths of its warehouse.

Unlike the typical songs at the Eurovision Song Contest, however, Galaxus’s “Lager Hits” aren’t about love or heartbreak, but exclusively about products from the Galaxus lineup—from electric drones to hair dryers, black garlic, and even trash cans.

Filming at our own warehouse

Although the lyrics were written by the artists themselves, the musical arrangement and vocals were handled by the music AI «Suno.» The music videos were filmed in typical lip-sync style at the Galaxus warehouse in Wohlen. According to reports, the team improvised many of the effects on set using products already in stock there. For example, hair dryers for the wind, spray bottles for the rain, and steam irons instead of a fog machine.

The campaign has been airing since Wednesday as an online video, on online TV, and on social media.
